I'm biased. I only play at Ocean's 11. The food and service is good, the dealers are good and most of the floormen are great, there are a few squirrels though. Comps are poor, but the food is inexpensive for players. Free for $20-$40 players and is available 24 hours. The drop is $4 and they have jackpots -- rarely exceed $5k though. On any given weekend night your likely to find 3 $20-$40 Hold'em, 3 $5-$5 no limit $300 buyin Hold'em, 4 $8-$16 Kill hold'em, and between 8 to 10 $3/6, $4-$8 Kill hold'em games, and between 8 to 10 $1/2, $2/4 non-kill Hold'em with $2 and $3 drop. They also have about 3 tables of no-bust blackjack (with collection) and 1 caribean stud and Pai-Gow (collection games). On a Sunday morning, you may run into 1 or 2 $5 condition pan. Weekday nights the games run about 1/2 what they do on weekends, you will always find a $20-$40 and $5 and $5 blind NL and $8-$16 from around noon until 2:00 am. But the very low limit doesn't get going until 5:00 pm. They also spread $1-$5 stud/8 and some $3-$6, $4-$8, and $6-$12 Omaha -- but the Omaha has taken a big hit in players since the NL games started. The Casino is very local oriented with its primary promotion geared towards locals, play 900 hours and get $5000 cash rebate, cash pool of $500,000 set aside for aggregate payout, some locals already on 2nd run of 900 hours. Most of the players are savvy, but not experts by any means and are extremely beatable. It is very safe, with armed security, well lit and fenced in parking lot just a block off the I5 freeway in Oceanside. They serve alcohol on the poker room floor until 11:30 pm, and until 1:30 am in the bar. Daily morning tournament starting at 10:00 am with Tuesday and Friday being the best (NL). There are 2 comfortable hotels within walking distance with reasonable rates, I think $75 per night during summer. 8
