i won 20 grand here !!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!10
i have been a custome of this casino almost fro the first day. thet WERE the best in there day, think that maybe river rock took to may people away. i hate river rock no one ever wins there but it nice place lots of machines and the food is good. sho-ka-wah seems dirty and the food sucks. like that you can have a beer but to play here is boring took away way to many machines place feels empty and employyes seemed streesed out, i do go back once in a while but i no longer go out of my way to play here.2
This place should be called "El-Sho-Ka-Wah, because they seem to cater mostly to the Latino community and the hell with the rest of the people. Maybe that is why their business is dwindling. Their customer service sucks big time. If you want to go to a place with more class, go to River Rock or Cache Creek!!!2
Tell the guy to stay at River Rock,,,,,Sh Ka Wa dosen't need those kind of people. Sh Ka Wa is the best casino we've been to in the Bay Area. All the rest are too big and too Reno.....People are rude and always in a big hurry. At Sh Ka Wa the people are very friendly and not in a big hurry. Nice collection of slots and table games. We will be back.10
I've been going to ShoKaWah for approximately 5 years. Lately however, since I am a slot player, I've noticed a lot of the popular nickel machines have been removed. When asked, I was told they were removed because they "weren't making any money". Most of these machines had people standing in line to play them! As of my last visit about 1 week ago, I will not be returning. All the rest of the machines I felt comfortable playing, are gone.3
I've gone to this place and to the River Rock Casino and the River Rock is TEN TIMES better this place. Every aspect of River Rock is better than this place. I like to play blackjack and I could swear that this place cheats. They seem to always get the perfect card when they need it. They place is VERY rundown. If your in the area I couldn't see why you would go here than to the River Rock Casoni 5
This casino is pretty typical of the ones in this area. Not elegant at all. Restaurant does not take credit cards. Pretty good selection of machines with decent video poker. It has a sign which says it is the Bay Area's No. 1 casino. I expect Cache Creek will be surprised to learn of this. Cache Creek has more clients in a day than this casino does in a month.5
The Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah casino is about 5 miles away from Highway US 101 on Highway 175. It is easy to find. The players club is towards the back. Some of their machines are coins, most provided tickets. The Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah casino seamed a little run down, but friendly. When I cashed out on the coin machine I could not find a bucket. Then there was a wait at the cashier. They have free sodas, coffee, and a large parking lot. The busses were annoying. I tried to take a picture of the casino, but all I got was a picture the busses.7
Great place, but in the last few months the bands playing music too loud! Also had problem with female bar person with blond hair. The big guy behind the bar is great.8
This casio really works hard to make the customer feel at home. It is in a beautiful part of the state, surrounded by vineyards and orchards. There are lots of slot machines to choose from, good food, great entertainment - a great location for tourists as well as locals. This one's my favorite in the upper Bay area.9
REally like this place because we;ve had a lot of luck here-the people are nice and I feel like you can play and win-9
