I dont like this casino. I have never won anything from here. Also I have never gotten a drink from any of the waitresses that run around half naked. I wouldnt recommend wasting your money on there tight slots either. As for the parking it sucks!!!7
Third day of casino play at six different casinos on this trip. Played 242 machines so far on trip with $5 in on each for total of $1210 into machines. Arrived at Thunder Valley +$5 for the trip. Rather short play time here (4 hours) because of travel time from previous stop at Cache Creek and need to get on up the road to a motel in Auburn in preparation for last leg of our trip to see our son in Carson City tomorrow. Reuben sandwich at the Thunder Cafe was just fine, fries great, service OK. We put 34 $5 bills into 34 machines ($170 in) and took out $170 during our four hour play at Thunder Valley. Free entertainment today (well, a little better than that because we arrived this morning at Cache Creek down $30 for our trip and left there +$5; gained $35 there). One trip or even ten trips will not give you a "tight" or "loose" rating. There is actually little or no difference between casinos on payout, no matter what you see on other posts here. Our big win was playing 9 of 20 lines on a 5 cent Wizard of Oz machine (45 cent bet) where we took out $70 after a nice feature win. 6
Its just soooo sad to hear all the negative remarks from a bunch of bitter people. Gambling after all is a game of luck and chance, it is used for entertainment by those who can afford it!! For all you complainers out there good luck at finding your fortune because you will never find it at a casion. Thunder Valley Casino is 2nd in the nation in business behind foxwoods in CT. for a reason and its not because of expensive drinks or poor service!! So stop being so bitter and get a life!!!9
I HATE THIS CASINO! I have been to many in both Northern and Southern California. Thunder Valley is by far the tightest casino I have ever been in. I have tried the dollar slots, the quarter slots, the nickels and the pennies, and NOTHING!!! I have been here several times only because it is closer than any other casino, but I will drive the extra hour to other casinos because Thunder Valley really sucks. Also, if you are lucky enough to have a drink waitress grace you with her presence, she will never return with an actual drink. I usually see one fly by once every hour and maybe one out of four will stop and get my order. I end up going to the food court and buying a big soda or else I will die from dehydration.. Thunder Valley is not worth your time or money.1
It is practically in my back yard but still prefer Reno. Too many penny machines, high stakes 21 tables with continuous shuffle machines. Pai Gow is even worse. I hear it is $100 a hand on Sat. nights!! Have won very little there. The cocktail waitresses leave little to be desired and the drinks are too expensive. I used to like to eat at Fats asian restaurant but they mysteriously pulled of the casino and no one seems to know why. I never felt comfortable there since that poor young girl was taken from there and murdered by another patron.2
I think Thunder Valley-is as fair as any where, After all you have to remember what the word Casino means--I have won & lost there. But always enjoy myself. The food is very good. The people are very friendly. The sevices is always great the most the time. If you go to win & it happens Awesome--But a smart thing to do --is take only what you can effort to lose-Helloooooooooooooooooooo It a Casino. I like the Place myself & it close to home.7
EXTREMELY TIGHT SLOTS NOT A PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT TO MAXIMIZE YOUR PLAYING TIME CAUSE YOU WILL GO HOME EARLY AND BROKE!!! THE WAITRESSES THERE LOOK LIKE CHEAP HOOKERS OR MAYBE EVEN PORNSTARS.. THIS PLACE HAS NO CLASS!!!1
test wwww7
Thundervalley is a lousy blackjack game, every hand goes back into the continuous shuffle machine. I got the same bunk cards dealt on continuous occassions. Winning there is is just a fluke of luck- and you reaslly need it there!!7
As I have read other reviews I could not help to jump in! Thunder Valley is a beautiful designed casino on the outside. Inside there is quite a diversity of rudeness, overcrowding, slow service, and very poor odds of table wins or machines ringing.HORRIBLE! Bring Thunder Down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Simple: Very good looking casino but with very little chance of winning. VERY poor pay tables and service.2
Overall had a great time. I liked the new roulette and three card poker tables they had there. The table were all electronic. The games went faster and felt like real tables. Especially roulette--because each chair has a playing table, so no more reaching across people to play numbers. Also it was faster because no more person to just stack chips, count out chips, etc. Overall made the game more enjoyable to play. Drinks were slow--the first two hours we were there we were not offered a drink. Also the floor help did not seem to be very knowledgeable about the machines. 8
Had dinner in the buffet. Hate to be like this. But the Asian food plates were hotter than the food. Tried discussing this with several of the line cooks and it seems as none could speak English. I will no longer eat there. Food was bad, cold. Poor quality of Turkey in the American food also. Pasrty was an A+7
I guess Thundervalley has reviews depending on you winning or losing. Well, I LOVE Thundervalley a my husband was struck by their THUNDERTRIKE! Over $100,000.00!!!!!10
i hope the owners are reading this i went to thunder valley 2 years ago its too tight no wins on 50.00 quarter machines?? un b leave able i will never return good luck to them plus 7$ for a glas of wine?? byegrt7
I HAVE NOT HAD THE CHANCE TO VISIT THE CASINO. I KNOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE VISITED AND THE OVERALL REVIEWS THEY GIVE TO THE CASINO ARE 50/50. I MAY VISIT IN THE SPRING ON MY WAY TO RENO. TILL THEN I WILL NOT GIVE AN OPINION ON THE CASINOS. ONE THOUGHT HAS ALWAYS BOTHERED ME...ONCE YOU ARE THERE IF YOU DONOT LIKE THE ENVIORMENT YOUR CHOICE IS LEAVE , OR GRIN AND BEAR IT. LONG WAYS TO GO FOR A VERY LIMITED SELECTION. THIS IS A BIG POINT. THANKS FOR LISTENING...... 5
I have lost @ Thunder Valley more times than I have won...BUT, I did win $1000 on the Cigar $1 slots awhile back. It takes almost 2 hrs for us 2 get 2 T/V and they no longer allow RV parking in any of the parking lots either next 2 the casino or across the street from the casino. I tried 2 reach the casino 2 complain about this but I never could find a # 2 reach an actual person...SO, guess my Thunder Valley Days R over as we always took R RV B4...:( SOOOOO.... BAD ON U T/V1
decided to visit thundervalley. What awaste of gas and time drove two and half hoursfor nothing Tightest machines ever played .Wasnt there half hoourlost a bundle wont begoing back MY advice dont go there big ripoff.WEWHO ALL WENT ALL HAD THE SAME TO SAY A BIG JOKE.fEW winners for such a big casino tight tight machines should be called LOOSERS VALLEY WARNING DO NOT GO YOU WILL BE SORRY.7
Visited Thunder Valley in Lincoln. Nice looking but very tight pay outs. No nickel machines except video. Waste of time. I will make the trip to Reno. 3
I've won at Thunder Valley, however, when you win you must wait forever to get paid. Guess they want everyone to see that someone is winning. This policy will only get a patron discussed and not want to return. PLEASE change this policy.5
Thunder valley is the tightest casino I have been to. When it opened it was decent, but since then they have tightened all the machines.3

We recently went on our first trip here (Nov 2004). We really liked the decor and the dealers! Every dealer we had was friendly and "played" along with you. The cocktail service was pretty good (didn't like the foam cups for coffee though) and the service we got was quick. They did have some good video poker - though you had to look around a bit. The only thing we didn't like was that most of the food was "food court" type of food. I really like that their player club is part of the Station Casinos in Nevada.8
If You want to lose your ass, go to thunder valley they should shut this place down!!!!!!1
Disregard my previous comments. Somehow my review of another casino ended up here. Thunder Valley is OK and I had already reviewed it.7
10/18/2004 We have visited over 30 casinos in California. This one is a 10 for glitz and glamor. Very nice place. Buffet very nicely laid out with view seating available. However that is where it ends. The machines are very tight. Nobody was winning. The food is mediocre at best. The lunch buffet was only $3.99 but the quality of the food was lower than that. This casino reminds me of Agua Caliente in Palm Desert except the food is excellent at Agua Caliente. However they are both tight. Table Mountain in Fresno is definitely a better choice.3
I am currently a Black Jack dealer at Thunder Valley Casino. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! YOU HAVE NO ODDS. DO NOT PLAY HERE. If you do.. kindly tip the dealer something, he / she is your partner against the casino. We hate them as much as you and want you to win! If you're interested in hearing more.. contact thundervalleysux@hotmail.com1
Thunder valley is a big joke another cache creek tight machines rude staff some of the worst gambling i have occured .Save your money save your time thunder valley is a waste of time1
Once was enough. If you want to donate your money give it to the Red Cross......The machines are so tight there you won't get a dime back while they are laughing all the way to the bank. I guess thats one way of getting back at the white man for taking their land!!! I won't be back.......Try River Rock or Feather Falls at least they pay off $$$$$$$ and you'll have some fun !!!!!!1
I lost big time. I was sorry to see they didn't have the pennies games which allow you to play more lines. (I like those) They can still eat your money, but it seems like it can last a little longer. I saw a few big winners on dollar machines. I won't go back altho it was clean and had the newer electronic games, it just seemed really tight.5
DONT GO TO Thunder Valley it is crap. They dont even give you a little taste of winning to keep you playing. They just snatch your money and run away laughing. You wont even get a free drink out of it unless you sit there and plunk in 100 bucks while you wait 30 minutes for the drink lady to come back. Maybe it takes them so long to bring you a drink because their shorts are so far up their butt they cant move very fast. Either way save you time, money and gas and stay home or go to reno7
Thunder Valley is crap.. You have to drive to the middle of nowhere to find swarms of people trying to find a place to place just to loose all your money. They have their money on lock down and you wont get a dime of it. You cant get a drink to save your sole and it smells like a smokers lounge. Save you money and your time.. SAY home or go to Reno.7
i love thundervalley casino. The Falls Bar is the place to be. Watching the bartenders "flaring" is cool. The girls that work there are awsome looking. recomened to go there!!!10
If you are a black jack player, DON'T PLAY HERE. They ONLY offer continious shuffle decks. They would get no bussiness if they were in Reno or Vegas with those decks. They get away with it because they can. I love going there because it is really nice. but no more black jack until they get rid of those decks. Players have terrible odds against those things. So if you go there to play black jack let them know that you will play at Cache Creek next time if they don't get rid of those decks.7
I was impressed! Its in the middle of no where and has the feel of Vegas!9
i prefer the thunder casino, i think it is in lincoln, i usually take my girl friend and just watch her because she seems always or at least amost always to win. when she wins she passes me money, i like that. 7
too many people couldn't find the slot I wanted to play because of too many people also had problems finding parking! Will never go back!!2
Thunder Valley Casino is big and looks very nice inside. We visited on Monday and there were plenty of people. It is near highway 65 and better signs would help a first time visitor to find it. The Rewards club was across the casino from the east entrance. I got $5 in free play for joining the club, it does require pressing some buttons and remembering the pin you chose. The cashiers were fast and friendly. The machines are laid out with plenty of space. The payout was about even. The restrooms were very nice and clean. We had the breakfast at Feast around the World Buffet. The food was good and the service was good. 8
It's location is currently rural, and there needs to be larger directional signs, but if you follow the other cars, you should find it o.k. There is alot of Free parking, and valet as well. The Music is playing IN the parking lot! So you get "hyped up" while dancing your way to the entrance! The entry is well lit and elegant as is the interior design. Plush carpets and beautiful clean restrooms. Two bars, Falls Bar & Thunder bar. Expect to pay normal "cocktail prices". Cocktail waitresses are friendly and scantily dressed. Players club is easy to join, usually offers promotions and card is good at other Station Casino's. Lot's of Slots, $1.00, .25, .05. The nickels are mostly Video style, (which I don't care for, so it was quarters for me!) Lot's of Tables, private Asian gaming area as well as "High rollers" areas. Jan 2004, someone hit the Progressive Jackpot on "Wheel of Fortune" for 5.1 Million! I wasn't as lucky, the three times I've been I made "donations", but I did see some Lucky winners. The Restaurants are great, Austin's Steakhouse, Fatburger, Thunder Cafe, Starbucks Coffee, Panda Express & Shanghai Fat's. The Buffet is called "Feat around the World". Bring your wallet or purse loaded, because everything is a bit "pricey" including the elegant Gift Shop! I think the nearest Hotel/Motel is in Roseville, about a 15 min. drive away. Overall, I really like Thunder Valley, It has the "look" and "Feel" of Las Vegas...just not the "cheap" bargains you find there!9
its big and there are lots of tables, but at $25 minimums for black and YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR OWN DRINKS.. i will never return, it is Vegas for me 5
