This place is SOOOO overrated! Their employees could care less if you are there and for me that is HUGE! Their video poker is so TIGHT...for those who said they pay out more than any other card room are MISTAKEN. They even had 1 of their OWN INDIANS STEALING from the employees! what does that tell you??? Pretty SHADY BUSINESS!!! I wont play there anymore 1
Quite surprised that anyone would find Pechanga a disappointment...usually those that do are harboring sour grapes. We have frequented Pechanga for about five years (twice a month) and have never had a negative experience. We have stayed many times in the resort, found the rooms clean and pleasant and the bell staff above and beyond. We are always welcomed by the front desk and made to feel like royalty. The gaming has been profitable (I enjoy the slots, my husband the upstairs poker)and if you go with a balanced view of gambling, the win/lose will not tarnish your experience. The cleanliness of the common area restrooms and the maintenance staff far surpass any other casino in the area. We have never encountered rude or discourteous employees and our service needs on the machines have always been met in a timely fashion. I would very much like to see a LARGER "NON-SMOKING" area, the smoking areas seem to attract not so desirable individuals. The Rewards Club personnel could be "a little" more friendly and accommodating (both in person and on the telephone. Overall this casino is one of the best in California and well worth your time.9
We celebrated new years and stay there for two nights The machines are too tight the food is not taste and the personnel are not friendly and not around are hard to get someone when you need help 7
went for in-laws 40th b.d. room was 250 bucks,had plastic shower curtain.piece of crap.machines tight. staff helpful.go to rincon or pala.7
my family like pechanga because its very close to home. my wife and I often come to pechanga, every time we are in California, although we always end up even because one of us always wins and the the other one ends up losing what we win. The casino itself have an okay pay off. My wife and i like to watch people play slot machines and they end up winning, which we are happy for those that have very good luck. We went 19 December 08, we watch an old lady won four jackpots in a row in two different machines, she came out winning around 6,000 and funny thing is that she was only betting mini. The hotel is okay also, but the food was great, my wife and I did not expect that the food would be that great. The sad part is that we lost 600 that night but we both enjoyed because seeing somebody win means that this casino actually has great pay off probability. Although, my Family and I are going to check out Las Vegas, and try my luck, its been awhile since ive been to Vegas I was 11 and Im now 27,hahahaaha. Good Luck to all of you!10
Pachenga is the worst casino ever, The machines are so tight,Drove 50 minutes to have the worst night of my life. Will never go back again.Maria Bojorquez ,Rancho Cucamonga1
BIG AND PRETTY BUT NOT SO GOOD IN PAYS IT DOESNT OFFER MANY INCENTIVES TO THEIR CLUB MEMBERS. I AM NOT AN EVERY DAY CUSTOMER LIVE TO FAR AWAY BUT I HAVE STOP MORE THAN FIVE TIMES I HAVENT WON ANYTHING AT ALL. SO I WOULD LIKE TO RETURN AL ALL.5
this place is nice. But will never ever go again. Reason is I drove 40 something miles to get there just to get kicked out for not doing nothing just looking 2
Rooms are clean and nice. Casino is bright and clean but the gaming is not fun anymore. Pechanga has gotten greedy. Too expensive for the average income earner, like myself to play. they need 1 cent machines with bonus rounds. how about Honkey Tonk and Wacko Gecko machines?8
Cheap tourments are turbo, higher buy in get you an extra 5 mins on blinds. Not a good tourment casino, but nice resort. Rooms nice and big, clean and service is good.6
What in the world are all those DAUB machines for??? Does anybody ever win on those things? I think they filled their quota and had to fill that room with something....... The casino is a great entertainment venue. The hotel is high priced.7
first time here!so big.better than morongo.was there for 15 min. and hit a 700 jackpot on my 20 that i put in!! and walked away with it!(: great customer service too.morongo is horrible! never again!9
My wife and I have been to Pechanga a few times. Most of the staff only want to talk to each other. All three times there have been power problems. Once the slot machines would not print tickets and had to wait up to an hour to be hand paid. Another time the power went out for about 15 minutes. Another time, the power went out while I was at the black jack table. The power blinked a couple of times but never came back on. AFTER SITTING AT THE TABLE FOR THREE ( 3 ) HOURS, THEY LOCKED DOWN THE TABLE, DID A FINAL MONEY COUNT, LET THE EMPLOYEES LEAVE. THEN PIT BOSS TOLD THE PLAYERS TO PICK UP OUR CHIPS AND GET OUT---THEY ARE NOW CLOSED. OF COURSE COULD NOT EXCHANGE CHIPS FOR MONEY. MY WIFE HAD TICKETS FROM THE SLOTS AND COULD NOT GET CASH FOR THEM. CASINO SAID THEY WOULD EXTEND TIME LIMIT TO 72 HOURS TO CASH TICKETS IN. WENT BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY TO CASH IN CHIPS & TICKETS. TRIED TO PLAY BLACK JACK AGAIN THE LIGHTS FLICKERED TWICE, WE CASHED OUT AND WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN. NELSON La Mirada, Ca1
My wife and I visit Pechango about every three weeks and just love the service they provide. We have not personally won any large amounts, but have seen jackpots up to $15,000 won. People are very friendly there.8
Pechanga has been a good casino ever since they were located in a small tent, years ago. Have won some and lost some, but overall they are a good casino.8
Pechanga has and always will be a winning casino for me. Besides having the best choice of games, they also have an excellent steak house called "The Great Oak". They have the best steak around the area, as well as other food. If you visit there, be sure to ask for a waiter named Dale. He was very knowledgeble, courteous and effecient. 9
WHEN PECHANGA WAS IN THE OLD PLACE I WON AS MUCH AS 15,000. IN ONE YEAR NOW THEY HAVE GOTTEN SO GREETY THE SLOT (sluts) ARE SO TIGHT THEY GIVE A FEW PEOPLE WINNINGS TO CON PEOPLE INTO THINKING A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE WINNING I SAY BULL. WHEN THEY START GETTING LAW SUITS FROM LUNG CANCER VICTIMS MAYBE THEY WILL THINK TWICE ABOUT A SMOKE FREE BUILDING. I THOUGHT THE SURGEON GENERAL SAID SMOKING WAS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH. WHERE HAVE THOSE IDIOTS BEEN. AND ANOTHER THING THOSE TACOS AT THE FOOD COURT IS NOT MEXICAN FOOD ITS CRAP.3
We went to Pechanga for the weekend. We were really excited to go since this was our first time. We were not impressed with the rates because they were so high. You can get a room in Vegas for cheaper! We checked in and everything seemed fine. The room was gorgeous. We had an excellent time gambling and won. When we checked out, we noticed several charges from the mini bar that we never made. It was over $45.00. How can that be possible. Not only that but they charged an additional $100.00 from the time we booked our room on the internet. We were not very happy. Then, my boyfriend left his cell phone. We called and were advised that they had the cell phone. We drive 3 hours to learn that we have to claim the phone during business hours only, mon-fri. How inconvenient is that!!!1
Rooms are very nice and staff very helpfull. You may not like the blackjack here. Too many continuous shuffle machines, even in the high limit room. Odds are not very good and the players here do not know how to play. They have no clue as to the basic strategy of the game.7
I have been to almost all of the Indian Casinos. Out of all of them, I like Pechanga. I do see people winning and I like the place. It's very nice. Pechanga is the only casino that I will go to again.5
Sounds like a lot of sour pusses to me. They probably lost too much money and need to blame someone. I live in Temecula and have been to Pechanga many times. The casino is very nice, restaraunts too. The poker room is great. If you're visiting for more than one day...the Temecula area is beautiful and the wineries are a blast.8
i live within 5 miles of pechanga and i refuse to go into that place....nothing but bad experiences when i did visit..service is terrable and the food prices are no bargin..you get the feeling like managment could care less if you ever return..blackjack tables are set at 25 dollars..i would tell you to drive a few miles to pala or go to harrahs 1
I liked Pechanga...it paid off well when I first went there is 2003..went there recently and noticed that the slots were upgraded to dollars..very few quarter machines...but I won $350 on a nickle machine...i like what they did to the decor...best casino? jackson9
The casino decor and atmosphere are incredible... but that just means they're taking way to much of our money! A great circle bar that is a cool place to lounge. Worst place to play 21, since the minimums are high and every table uses a continuous shuffler. I refuse to play there!2
Thanks for all of you who put your reviews in" I actually was thinking about going to pechanga, but...after reading your reviews ive decided Not too!... sounds like alot of these indian casinos are run very poorly, i went to couple other ones and didnt like the crowds" of people... and smoke is absolutely Horrible!... thanks again people, i think i'll just wait and go to Reno or vegas where the drinks are free! and you can play without bumping into people.2
Valet parking a Joke. Reserved a Non-smoking room & they only had Smoking. Waited to get my car back from valet & it took 40 minutes. The service personnel are the WORST I have Ever encountered. If you could rate Lower than a one, I would give them a double 0 1
casino is not to good but i won a little bitfrom the slut machines.parkingok food decent.maybe has empl;oyees leading you on to play big and lose.too many indians not enough chiefs.service is not great.me win little wampum me go home wee hours.not vegas definately.of vegas not to much higher on spectrum.pala better little bit.2
The people that gave the Pechanga a 10 must work there... There viedo poker mechines are brutal... {if you can find one to play} If you want to pay for atmosphere bring lot's of "MONEY"1
Wow! I don’t know what casino some of the other reviewers were in when they thought they were reviewing the Pechanga casino. It’s my understanding that the Pechanga machines are set to pay off more than other casino’s slots. Someone told me that this was a matter of public record. The décor is lovely and the food excellent. I particularly like the large fixture behind the circular bar in the expansion. As for restaurants my particular favorite is the seafood restaurant. I also like the Kelesy Steak House. I did not see anyone waiting for a machine. We did visit after the expansion opened. We did not get a chance to visit the nightclub but hear that it is a happening place. I found the employees to be helpful and very nice. 10
With the new gaming space now open, they have added excellent new gaming including the best poker room I have ever seen or played. The staff has been upgraded too and they are living up to their motto "CA's biggest and best"!10
Very poor example for a casino, poor comp, expensive food, terrible services, and bland decor. Only good thing is the parking, which makes it easy for you to find your car and drive away from this place. Casino Rate::: a very flat 37
Pachanga casino didn't pay back as well as any casino I'v visited. Customer service sucked. The fire alarm went off (loud) no instructions were given. The whole experience sucked, I'll not be back. Andy Grimaud Downey CA4
Our regular local casino is Pala which is far better even though it is 15 minute farther away. However we do enjoy the Sunday Brunch buffet at Pechanga. The food is excellent with Prime Rib of the quality found in better restaurants. They will also cut if how you like. I ask for a thick piece and they always give it to me. The rest of the buffet is excellent with made to order omelette's, some good Mexican food and other varieties. We only go for the brunch and never gamble there as we do not like the casino. Slots are tight, rude customers, and service is so so.5
Horrible casino. Bad bad bad.... BJ uses CSM and unwinnable. Player's card is chinsy in priveleges. Low class, lame staff, dirty restrooms. Take your gaming and patronage elsewhere. DO NOT play at Pechanga!!1
Very dissapointing. We stayed one night at the hotel and that will be our last. The hotel was overpriced and honestly not very nice. In fact everything at this place seemed overpriced. The food was good at the seafood restaurant, and the buffet. But other than that everything seemed lacking. I went with one other person on a Saturday night and didn't get even one chance to play on a slot machine because they were full the entire night. The casino is decorated about as exciting as a tool shed. I didn't once feel like I was in Vegas. The hotel room was just too small, and the bathroom door was sliding like a closet door. The staff wasn't great. We came early (not expecting to check in already) and had no bags yet. The bellhop still went up to the room with us, which I thought was kind of cheesy. It was also very loud all night, lots of younger crowd with no respect for others. Every 30 minutes we heard someone go screaming down the hallway.3
I have been to Pechanga twice and must say the staff needs some training in customer service and etiquette. I had problem getting simple information from them. Pros: Nice facility, close to the freeway. Cons: Rude staff, have to pay for alcohol while playing, Food is not to good at any restaurant/snack bar/buffet. Constant shuffle machine for BJ. I once won $1175 on slots and took attendant 45 minutes to pay me. When she came back with the cash, she had two other leach along to get tips. Lame...2
This place is nothhing like it's neighbor, Pala Casino! Pala is a RESORT! Pechanga is a DIVE!3
This place sucks, I really didn't like it at all. I've been there twice and that was 2 times too many! The first time I went there, I was playing 25 cent slots with the rockets on the bar symbols that go up and down to help you get a winning combo...well, I got 3 bar symbols lined up and one of those damn rockets moved and turned my small winner into a loser!! I couldn't believe it, I've never seen anything like that before!! That was my first clue that this place is really greedy (more so than your average Indian casino). Also, they have too many CSMs and restrictive blackjack rules like no resplitting of aces. For just a little bit more of a drive from LA, I much prefer Pala which is head and shoulders above Pechanga. 2
Worst Indian Casino ever built. The kind of people that enter the casino are dirty and rude, which agree well with their poor staff and service. Not only were the security and employees irritating, but I found them to be physically and verbally abusive. Long wait for a machine, over-crowded, and no parking. Not worth the drive.1
Pechanga is a great place to go if you do not want to drive to Vegas.this is my home away from home. 9
I'm really surprised that some people find this wonderful Casino, not very good. At the contrary.. I really enjoy it and done not bad at all. I'm a frequent guest and I do enjoy it very much. Their Slot machines are great, including the nonsmoking area. This casino is very accessable closed to the freeway. Now, talking about the buffet... they need to work a little more on the sevice. Good thing for the huge Mall just about 2 exits. Several restaurants to enjoy. I ussally come out even, but I must say... it pays off to have fun at Pechanga !9
Pechanga's only nice thing was the free valet parking. The guys were very nice in and out. Inside they don't want you to play 21, especially if you are only betting $5 or $10 dollars. Plenty of $25 tables, though. Not one dealer smiled or said "good luck". Their tables are spread out over a large casino, and I asked if there were open tables for my price range. The pit boss didn't know and sent me arounfd the whole casino. The non-smoking are was dead except for a $25 table open. No one cares, no customer service or drinks.2
Pechanga is a very nice casino. LOTS of machines but not enough change people. The restaurants are wonderful. Close to freeway. The construction now is a pain but when it is finish it can certainly be compared to a Vegas casino.7
The Pechange club required you to fill out a a form as well as drivers license.6
Pechanga Casino is large! It is easy to get to from I15. There are signs along the way. Good points – I won $13 (started with $60, left with $73.05); Very nice rest rooms, It is nicely laid out. All most all were new machines. Staff was friendly. Problems:The construction is still going on. The traffic sites were set for the old configuration.Getting from your car to the casino is a hike. The coffee was not good.6
Very nice Casino facility. If you are a non smoker forget it after 4PM Monday thu Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. The air system will not handle the volume of smoke and the smokers love to blow smoke in your face. They even allow cigar smoking. There is a small non smoking gaming area but all the slots and card machines in there sucked. They have card tables in there too. There is a poker only area in the lower level that is non smoking only but I got the impression that it was for tournaments and hard core gamblers. The minimum on all the card tables was $15. A little steep for us working folks. The card machines and slots were OK in the morning but seemed to be un-winnable after around 2PM??? All machine payoffs are on slips of paper around ATM size. However, many of the machines will not read them so you have to go to a money changer machine or the cage to get you money. All machines take paper money. The idea is to be able to go to any other machine with the slips. The floor staff seemed much more interested in chatting with each other than assisting any patron. There was no assistance if you didn't understand a machine. The buffet however was excellent and reasonable in cost. We arrived at 1030 AM on Friday and had no problem parking in the parking structure. We left at 1030 PM on a Friday and could not see any open parking spaces anywhere. They kept coming around and asking if you wanted cocktails. So I asked for a beer then found out that they charge you for all drinks (I was told that they can't give free alcohol in California) $3 for a beer. The age to gamble is supposidly 21 but I saw many young people there and no one checking ID's. The place is very nice and impressive but the volume of smoking in there will destroy it in a couple of years. Why can't we find a band of non smoking Indians to open a casino? I would definately be a patron as would many others in California. I am part Indian and a non smoker.4
