| I have played many times during all hours of the day. I have absolutely no complaints about this casino. They have friendly and outgoing staff, they are always on top of things! The place gets a packed alot especially on Tuesdays with the tournament. Over all I had a great experience at the lucky derby and think its the best cardroom in the sacramento area | 9 |
| i really liked the lucky derby casino. as i walked in, i was greeted by the floor person with a smile. i was impressed with the friendly staff members, especially the dealers. only complaint is that the place is always busy. i dont know what the previous review person is talking about, concerning sleeping with the family in order to play, the person probably got a bad beat and needed something to complain about. my advice - stop playing so tight and loosen up a bit. had fun at the derby. | 8 |
| The only place worse than the Lucky Derby is the Phoenix. No limit game is packed with house players, the wait is ridiculous, and they drop before the flop reguardless of action. You get a different ruling from the floor depending on how their day has gone. All management is family or sleeping with family and the service is nonexistant.
If you have 3 hours to kill waiting, this is the place to go. House players do not have to leave the game to open a seat for you.
My advise, sleep with the family if you want to go to the Lucky Derby and actually play.

| I enjoy Lucky Derby. Friendly staff, nice floor people. I go on Saturday nights and rarely wait more than 15 minutes. Good mix of good and bad players - I have won there much more often than Capitol, and never wait like I have to at Capitol. | 7 |

| Best action in town. I went by on a Monday night and the place was jumpin. No-limit game is great. Great atmosphere. | 8 |
| Eh. Stuffy and clostrophobic. During my only visit (a weeknight), the wait was long... empty tables without dealers (not enough dealers?). No service, and no refreshments found but stale, burnt coffee. But it's free! ;-) The Derby's not horrendous, but I'd personally rather make the drive downtown to Capitol Casino. | 4 |
