Stayed in the new hotel around 7/26/09, the rooms were comfortable with easy access to the casino. Played quite a bit of slots in our short <12 hour stay and came out ahead for both my spouses play and my own. On the way out after closing our hotel bill, I rushed over to the non-smoking section slots, dropped in a $20 to a machine that was hot for me the night before and within two max. plays, I hit the bonus round and pulled out another $164 bucks from the machine. Made for a nice road trip into San Francisco with all the food and drinks on the way on the house from Blue Lake Casino and Hotel. We will definitely stop in someday, if and when we are way up that way again (from Orange County, CA).7
Nice poker room, but limited games & not enuough local interest. Nitely tourneys. Friendly dealers. Card games are quite varied. Very enteretaining & friendly dealers at the tablegames. BINGO hall very confusing rules/games. Too much commotion going on during games & way too smokey. I loved the late nite Frog Pond snak bar. Great personal pan pizzas, made to order.7
3/6 limit poker games are very loose and full of fish.10
When visiting Blue Lake Casino I found the staff to be warm and friendly. They offer a variety of tables and machines. The buffet was good and well priced. They have nightly entertainment in the Loung. The poker room is classy and offers nightly tournaments. The overall atomsphere was fun and entertaining and would recommend to anyone. 8
Service is poor, food is overpriced, the decor is bland, no feeling of being in a "real" casino. Played a few card games, dealers need more training, poor comp on player's card, something all Native American's casino skimp on. Overall rating a weak 22
Blue Lake casino is within a few blocks of the exit of Highway 299. There are bill boards on US highway 101 and on 299 reminding you of the way. Finding the players club is easy, but they do still require a form to join. I received a deck or card and a hat. Blue Lake casino has a good selection of machines. I would prefer a few more reel machines and less video machines than they had. There was a short wait at the cashier The price for their buffet is very good. Blue lakes biggest problem is parking! When we came on Wednesday, we used the Valet which is free, but took some time. 8
