Agua Caliente Casino 8 out of 10

Agua Caliente is one of the more opulent casinos in the Coachella Valley. Their covered parking during the summer months is definitely a must. Gaming is fun, restrooms are clean, and the buffet offers great food at reasonable prices.

Agua Caliente Casino 7 out of 10

our first time there our dealer ,named roxi was wonderful. she was charming my husband and i will return

Agua Caliente Casino 7 out of 10

The casino is very nice inside and out and the location is very convenient. The buffet is their strong point with excellent food, albeit a little pricey. Machines are tight and not much variety.

Agua Caliente Casino 8 out of 10

We had a nice time. It has plenty of the parking  including a structure. Easy to get to from the freeway, and there are billboards reminding you when you get close.Nice carpets, excellent restrooms, plenty of space, a non-smoking portion. It is a spacious casino with plenty of slot machines and tables. There was a nice little garden as well.Mostly new slot machines, the tables look clean. Lots of dollars, some .25 and some .05, and a special place for $25 dollar machines.Joining their players club, Club Paradise, was quick and efficient.Weakness – not enough quarter (.25) machines, two of the machines we tried did not our accept bills ($20, $5). The wheel of fortune had a computer screen type slot for the bottom machine; a more traditional real-slot machine would have been preferred.$10 pay back test produced $7.50.Cashing out the script was speedy, but there appeared to be a longer line as we were leaving.Snack bar had reasonable selection, but pizza place was out and would have to wait 15 minutes for the daily special. It had a 24 hour all you can eat buffet, which I will try next time. The traffic on the access road from the freeway (two lanes) was heavy.Worth a visit and it is worth the drive from Los Angles.

nice place to spend a time

Augustine Casino 8 out of 10

Augustine Casino bills itself on "where the locals play." It's rather small, but with plenty of mutli-denomination slots to keep even the avid gambler happy. A few card tables are located in the middle of the casino, but the real attraction for us "locals" is the food. Cafe 54 is open 24 hours, and most meals can be had for under ten bucks. Friday and Saturday nights feature the seafood buffet, for $12.95, but the best deal is the breakfast buffet on Saturdays, $5.95 ($4.95 with club card). Prime rib and the omelet station, plus prompt refills of of the steam trays make this an enjoyable place to eat. One doesn't have to wait long for the bacon, sausage, hot cakes or french toast here! Service is prompt, yet unobtrustive.

Gambling: Try the penny slots, for starters. I often triple my money after just a few spins. The Beverly Hillbillies, Risque Business and Cops n Donuts have paid off well for me.

The restrooms have their downfalls, though. Located at the west end of the casino, it is definitely a hike from the restaurant.

And don't dispair when your looking for the place. It is, pretty much, in the middle of palm groves and agricultural fields, but offers plenty of close parking. Avenue 54 and Van Buren, can't miss it; three miles east of PGA West, three miles west of Highway 86.

And say hi to a "local" while you're there. We're always very happy out here in the desert!

nice place i like it very much

Augustine Casino 8 out of 10

Augustine Casino is a little off the beaten path. When I got to the stop signs every other block, I re-checked the map from the web site to make sure I was going the right way.It is a mid-size casino, big enough to have good selection of slots and some tables; yet small enough so that the parking is near the Casino and small enough that you do not get lost inside. The people were friendly. I would say one of the friendliest casinos I have visited this year. Some great features: $1 Blackjack table, on the $5 Blackjack, where there was still several open seats; my first hand was a blackjack. They also have .05 Video Poker machines and a mix of other types of machines. Joining the Augustine Gold was easy and you get a ticket for a drawing and a ticket for some free minutes on the Dash for cash machine.Café 54 is a restaurant and buffet. The lunch cost is $6.95 when you are a club member, otherwise $7.95. The cold slaw was very good on the All American day. The buffet has different menu depending on the day of the week. They also had a menu with very reasonable prices. During the peak times, there can be a wait, but they will give you a pager. I plan to go back to the Augustine Casino.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 10 out of 10

What can I say, I was there no more than maybe 45 minutes and hit $1000!!! Only put in $20.  The services there was prompt and curtious.  Excellent parking also!!!  THANK YOU PALA!!!!!!!

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 9 out of 10

Barona is one of the best casinos in California and certainly can hold its own against Nevada. The road up to Barona from Lakeside is not nearly as bad as some people have said. I travel it frequently both night and day. The road to Pala is much worse as are many of the other Indian casinos. I can pretty well drive a constant 50 mph on the Barona road with an occasional slow down.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 9 out of 10

I Love Barona Valley Ranch. Ever since my husband and I have discovered them we try to get down there at least every couple of months or so. We have even brought many of our friends and family members. It's just like being in Las Vegas without the long drive especially since we come in from the South Los Angeles area. The one and only downside to Barona is driving that intimidating moutain road into the Valley which is best travelled during the day. Hopefully, something can be done to build a safer road into the Valley.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 9 out of 10

This Casino has one of the best Buffets in town or any town for that matter. If you are a senior as we are, go on wednesdays. After you register you will be given a coupon which gives you the Buffet for half price ($5.00). You also will recieve a coupon for the slots ($5.00). If you cash out the coupon at the slot, then cash out the retun coupn at the cashier you will recieve ($5.00)hence tne cost of the buffet is ($0.00).

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 7 out of 10

WHAT SHOWS DO YOU HAVE AND WHAT IS ON THE WAY??THANKS GIL

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 7 out of 10

Barona Casino is in a beautiful location and quite nice.  The number one treasure of this casino is the friendliness of the staff.  I don't believe I have ever been to a more friendlier place!!!  The buffet was awesome, and take notice at some San Diego Hotels that offer brocheres to get a coupon for the buffet.  The only problem was the slots were kind of tight but we had a great afternoon!  The road is rough, but not all of California is freeway.  It is very easy to drive if you just take it easy!  Practice your space cushion in front of you and you will have no problems.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 8 out of 10

The Club was right next to the door. It is very big and well laid out. I had a steak at Branding Iron Café, which was good and had a good price. I went to Barona Casino after receiving several recommendations that it was just like Las Vegas and worth visiting. I agree it is worth a trip. Driving the road out at night is not very nice. They have many dollar machines and I did play some on a 10-cent machine. The most fun I had was playing the horseracing machine for 0.25. I plan to go back when I have more time.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 8 out of 10

I have probably visited Barona 200+ times going back several years. We also spent 4 fully comped visits to Barona stayig in the hotel. Barona has an excellent variety of machines. They are definitley looser than Las Vegas. I am a way ahead over the whole time. The casino is large and nice, excellent parking. The biggest downside is their player's club. They favor the frequent visitor over one that visits less often but gambles a lot more money. Restaurants, including the buffet are mediocre and over priced.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 8 out of 10

The casino feels like Vegas. The staff is friendly and my wife and I have some luck with the slot machines. The facility is clean. The buffet is great.

The only downfall to Barona is that the road to the casino is very dangerous. There have been several fatal accidents on the road. If the road is closed, you will have to turn around and drive several miles to come in from the other direction. Barona should build a NEW ROAD from hi way 67. Thank God they do not serve alcohol in the casino.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 7 out of 10

Had a great time at Barona. Spent 2 nights the rooms are very nice. Husband said the golf course was fair. The service good. No alcohol served because of the dangerous road. Food at buffet was very good wide variety. Lots of machines.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino 9 out of 10

Barona is a nice place with their relatively new casino, golf course, parking structure, and eating places. I like to play the slots and the people are friendly. Only drawback is the road leading to the place, is one of the most dangerous roads in San Diego County. All in all, Barona is probably equal to the other casinos in Californioa.

Black Bart Casino 5 out of 10

Black Bart is a small casino in Willits California. It is close to US 101, but the drive goes through a residential neighborhood.  More signs would be useful. Black Bart Casino does not have a players club, but they did have $10 Match Play. I only found about the match play waiting in line at the cashier. Most all their machines have tickets, but I some how found a nickel machine. When I cashed out 350 nickels, the counting machine came up with 17.45 (Ran it twice). I did go back and checked if I left a nickel, but I did not find one. The slot machine test was three losers and no winners.

Black Oak Casino 1 out of 10

What a dive. Bad air, bad facilty, not enough table games. Disgusting snack bars and restaurants. Just horrible place to gamble. The most gross casino I have ever been to.

Black Oak Casino 5 out of 10

it's ok, but a lot of space to improve.

Black Oak Casino 6 out of 10

The Black Oaks casino is a mid-size casino in the Mountains.  Currently there is construction for a new casino requiring you to take a shuttle from the parking to the casino.  It is 8 miles from the highway and a little out of the way. There was no players club to join.  It has a moderate selection of machines with too many $1/$5 machines and not enough .25 machines. Our Slot machine test 4 losers and 2 winners.  No wait at the cashiers, two were friendly; one was not. The location has a great view in the mountains. The food at the Black Oaks Café was good. I plan to go back once the construction is done.

Black Oak Casino 9 out of 10

Very nice Casino. Black Oak is expanding to double in size in December of 2004. The service was wonderful, the Gaming area was clean, and the employees are very friendly.

Blue Lake Casino 8 out of 10

Blue Lake casino is within a few blocks of the exit of Highway 299. There are bill boards on US highway 101 and on 299 reminding you of the way.  Finding the players club is easy, but they do still require a form to join. I received a deck or card and a hat. Blue Lake casino has a good selection of machines. I would prefer a few more reel machines and less video machines than they had. There was a short wait at the cashier

The price for their buffet is very good.  Blue lakes biggest problem is parking! When we came on Wednesday, we used the Valet which is free, but took some time.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 1 out of 10

went to cache creek big disappointment did not win at bingo; slots were very tight did not see many winners   hard to get change  and drinks staff is very rude  the casino is a big joke i cant see what people see in cache creek, i wont be ever going back a waste of time and money if you hear about people talk of cache creek there lying the gambling is depressing and there is no fun would not recomend cache creek to anybody rater go to oakland and shoot craps in a dark alley cache creek sucks

Cache Creek Casino Resort 9 out of 10

Cache Creek was a pleasant suprise.  Most of the indian casinos I've been to have been dumpy.  Cashe Creek has a beautiful large casino with lots of slots and a variety of table games.  I actually won $100+ on several machines...and I never.  The food was good as well.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 8 out of 10

First trip to Cache Creek my wife hit a $400.00 jackpot after playing $6.00 off the Twenty she put in Then she had a lot of wins  I ended up watching my wife win-win-win  we spent about 4 hours there had a nice big meal enjoyed our visit there and came home way ahead Very pleased  although I did have one issue I put two coins in a slot that looked like it took only 2 coins but it descretly showed that for a certain jackpot you needed to put in a third, I found this out by getting that lucky win on 2 coins thus no pay-out  that would have been another $150.00 win.  oh well we made money off them anyhow  lesson learned, always hit "max bet" to know for sure!

Cache Creek Casino Resort 1 out of 10

Cache Creek Casino Resort - EXTREMELY FAMILY HOSTILE. DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY TO CACHE CREEK CASINO. Even though it advertizes itself as a resort. It is no Vegas or Reno. My wife was carrying my 2 years old daughter hanging out in the hotel lobby and near the fountain outside the hotel. The security guards sent 6 guys gang up on her screaming at her and my child. They said children or anyone under 21 are only allowed to hang out in the restaurant or the room. Nowhere else! Not even in the hotel lobby or outside the casino. The guards were extremely rude. SO DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY THERE. IT IS NOT A FAMILY VACATION PLACE.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 8 out of 10

I liked Cache Creek Casino.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 1 out of 10

not worth the trip new casino is way over crowed.Played bingo lines were ove a hour wait to get your packs. Had no luck in bingo to hard to win as more seats were added to new bingo hall.Very hard to win played slotsand the same nothing spent 100 on slots played 5 machines allvery tight lost 100 in 20 min wont be going backvery crowded and staff is very rude no sodas or  drinks cache creek is not worth the drive very nice looking casino but gambling is no good .Prefer to drive to other casinos which i seem to have better luck and a better time .

Cache Creek Casino Resort 4 out of 10

I have been to Cache Creek a number of times ever since it started and it is the only casino moving slot machines most of time. I have gone to las vegas and reno and to other  indian casinos and I can play the machines I like most at same location. Players can win small consolations prizes but never a jackpot because the machine is gone.

This is great strategy for a casino whose slogan is " Winning is Evething" and it is for Cache Creek.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 7 out of 10

went to the new casino::video poker has rip off odds,no way to win..no free player drinks, stale donuts (at seven in the morning)buffet lunch is 17.95 pretty expensive for a lunch.speed traps all over getting to the casino.(the locals and police hate cache creek).i wouldnt rave about any of the food or service we have recieved..now i notice most indian casino's have done away with an e-mail to contact them..must be all complaints.when they had an e-mail i was told they have a bank of 9-6 dollar progressive video slots..when we got there no such machines exist..i have read three books on video poker and all three authors say to stay completley away from indian casino's..im a believer now...they are a rip..

Cache Creek Casino Resort 9 out of 10

Cache Creek is a beautifule resort/casino in a beautiful location. It is the only casino in Norther California that can match the big ones on Southern California. Good variety of machines and prettty loose I usually come out ahead. Excellent buffet and restaurants. It does get very crowded.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 7 out of 10

I like the cache creek when it just started. With the new building , machines are always broken. Most of my friends would not come back. Machines are just getting money and it looks like customers are paying the costs of a new building. Time to find another casino in Ca with better service.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 2 out of 10

The new casino is bigger but not better.  They can now accomodate a lot more people and yet the service did not increase.  There's only one cashier cage and one set of restrooms in the main casino.  You spend so much time in line it's ridiculous.  Oh yeah, forget about getting a complimentary beverage, the servers are non existent.  If you find one and was able to place an order, don't bother waiting because they don't come back.  That's happened to me twice and I played on the same machine for almost 3 hours!!

Will never go back new casino is a big joke  and a bigger rip off . all people  who iasked when went there said will never return machinesdont pay eats your money like termites staffis rude poor service new casino is cramped.i would not advise to go to to cache creek as it will result inno fun also should stop running ther ads on tv as a fun place  gamblingthere is depressing and no fun i would not recomend to my worst enemy

Cache Creek Casino Resort 9 out of 10

The new Cache Creek Casino Resort is much better than the old one. It has 200 gest rooms which are clean and nice. There are plenty of slot machines availble. The dollar machines are not too tight. The restraunts offer variety of good food. There are also entertainment show in the main hall. We had good times at this casino. By the way, the attends are very friendly.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 7 out of 10

The old casino at Cache Creek was small and often overcrowded, but the new, much larger building is a lot better. Most of the video poker machines are of the "short pay" variety, but there are several banks of 9/5 Jacks or Better that pays 98.5% with perfect play. That's 1% less than the "full pay" games in Reno and Vegas, but when you consider the price of gas in the Bay Area it ain't too bad.

went to cash creak it is a long drive from bayy area for me i prefer reno and keno that is what i do.

I think that indian casino cache creek sucks. it's dirty, it stinks and i had the worst time ever there. I love gambling but it will be a cold day in hell before i waste my gas to drive there again. Oh, yea and trying to get a drink there is like trying to get a salamander in a dried up creek.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 5 out of 10

We play mostly nickel vidio poker although we do play slots also.  We live in the Sacramento area and have gone to the new Cache Creek Casino but they have only 4 nickel vidio poker.

Cache Creek Casino Resort 9 out of 10

Cache Creek has recently opened the new casino. It is very nice with plenty of space between the machines.  The club was near the entrance from the parking structure. For joining, I got a slot machine pull which resulted in a free hat as a prize. It has a wide selection of slot machines with plenty of .25.  The 0.25 wheel of fortune were always in use. Christa played the dollars instead and won $50 on the wheel on the first play and then 5 minutes later a $100 from the wheel of fortune. The view was nice as well. The restrooms are nice and clean. It is worth a visit.  As an added benefit, it has a gas station and a convenience store helping to start the trip home well prepared.

Cahuilla Creek Casino 9 out of 10

We play bingo and Cache Creek has the best.  However, this was the best little casino in the area and there were many Vegas style joints.  The food was great especially the Angus steak and eggs at a great price.  Anza is in the 'boonies' but Cahuila is a diamond in the rough.  Friendly, courteous, and they allowed me to park in their parking lot and hook up to electricity with my morot home.  Chumash wouldn't let me park in their lot.  They will be building a new casino just down the road.  I just hope that they don't lose that hospitality I experienced.  I want to go back but I live in Vacaville.  When they build, I hope their design-architectural genius would utilize the stone that is all around them.  And they can import some Redwood trees from Northern California and create some shade.

Cahuilla Creek Casino 4 out of 10

whoops  i rated them too high on my post..i give them a four only for being new and clean..they are too crowded..and rotten odds on all machines..i found a ten play video poker with poor odds but a hair higher than all of the others..guess what ?? it is the ONLY one in the house..i had lunch and had to wait over an hour to get that machine again..what a poor gambling place cache creek is..as is all indian casino's..but the majority of gamblers dont care about odd's and paybacke so the casino's have it made..allway's a crowd of losers paying for the bright lights..back to reno/tahoe for me..the payback's there are about 1/2% better..thats enough to have a chance at winning a little..

Cahuilla Creek Casino 8 out of 10

Cahuilla Creek Casino is right on highway 371. It is easy to see and easy to get to form the highway. Its layout makes it easy to find everything. It has a hometown atmosphere.  They do not have players’ club card like the bigger casinos, but have a mailing list. With that, you can get five dollar in play every week. Unlike some big casino where the play is half faked, they gave me a five-dollar bill! It is a smaller casino, just big enough to have a few tables and plenty of machines including .05, .25, and $1. It is in nice location to be a tourist. We had lunch, good food, and good price. They had a free soft drink dispenser and coffee dispense for players. There were plenty of friendly employees. There was no wait at the friendly cashiers. I plan to go back when I am in the area.

Cahuilla Creek Casino 8 out of 10

I really enjoyed the casino. I have been to all the casinos in the area and this one by far has the friendliest atmosphere. The casino is small and if you are not familiar with the area you may get lost. But the employees are GREAT!!It was a pleasure tipping them because they were always so helpful.(I did walk out with more than I came with the x3 I was there) The food is fair and entertainment is OK.  There are no lines or crowds. They have all the lastest slots. So if you like that down-home feel you will certainly feel welcome.

Casino Morongo 1 out of 10

Casino Morongo is for Morons. Very dirty and smokey. The place looks cheap and worn down. Why people gamble there is mystery to me.

Casino Morongo 9 out of 10

Every employee is so helpful and polite. The "Winners Club" is the best club I have ever joined. There are so many great discounts. Even though I live over an hour away, it is worth the drive.

Casino Morongo 6 out of 10

Casino Morongo is right next to I10 and is one of the easiest Indian casinos to get to in California. I filled my car at their gas station.

I had a little wait to join the club. Also since, I had joined online with my first name of Jim and my license had James, it took longer. There are a lot of slot machines and a lot of people. The layout is a little confusing the first time.

They could use more .25 machines. They have some dollar machines with tokens. When I checked the $1 token I had taken home as a souvenir, it said Harrah’s Rincon. The free coffee and soft drinks was just the right spot when I was thirsty.

It was crowded even during the day. Biggest problem I had was with the traffic when I was trying to get back-on the freeway. The outlet malls and the casino share the same entrance and there is no stop light.

Casino Pauma 10 out of 10

pauma is a great casino not that far away from pala and staff great get's kind of crowded on fridays

Casino Pauma 8 out of 10

Pauma is my favorite casino.  They have a variety of machines, don't have a huge hotel to finance and although I have lost money on some occasions, I have taken home some nice winnings.  The casino is small enough that if you have a problem with a machine not printing out a ticket, it's only a matter of a few minutes that someone is there to assist you--cannot say the same about other Southern California Indian casinos.  I like the drive to Pauma and like the outdoor setting--the casino is nestled back a distance from the highway among some Orange(?) groves.  The staff are very friendly.  What else can I say?

Casino Pauma 7 out of 10

Casino Pauma is a little off the Highway, A bigger sign would be nice. It is a small Casino in semi-permanent structure. The staff was friendly like a small town friendly. No form was required to join the palm club and I got two free scratchers. They had a $0.95 breakfast. It is in a nice location. Some machines had coins. They also had some 1-cent machines. The restrooms were Ok, but nothing special. I lost $10. If you are Casino hopping between Harrah’s and Pala, it is worth a short visit.

Cher-Ae Heights Casino 7 out of 10

I was looking forward to the great view from Cher-Ae Heights, but it was foggy. The casino is about 1 mile from US 101 along a winding road. The player’s club booth is next to the entrance, but it was closed when we visited in the morning.

The selection of slot machines was not great. All most all were video machines. Cher-Ae slot machines pay in coins and dollar tokens. If you are playing for .05, this mean you must play changes or loose it! The deli did not have a view and the restaurant with the great view was not open in the morning. Our slot machine test was one winner, one even; one loser.

A smaller casino in a beautiful setting...... don't miss sunset dinner overlooking beautiful Trinidad Harbor!  The casino is modern, clean, and easily reached.  Well worth a visit.

Chicken Ranch Bingo & Casino 1 out of 10

this casino sucks and now i have a gambling problem i never win and i drop $200 a day and there service sucks one of the worst casino

Chicken Ranch Bingo & Casino 4 out of 10

In the parking lot you can hear the chickens at the Chicken Ranch Bingo and Casino.  On Sunday, the parking lot was full, and the road had a lot of cars parked on it. It is more of a Bingo hall than casino. The slot machines are in a small area that is crowed and smoky. Restrooms were small and crowded. We had to wait to play a $1 video slot. Christa rated the Chicken Casino Ranch as pathetic.

Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino 10 out of 10

My wife and I have been going to Lake Tahoe every year on our anniversary since we have been married. For our 12th anniversary we decided to try Chukchansi Gold Resort, this is the cleanest casino we have ever been to. We love playing slots mostly nickle & quarter which they have plenty of, we are also non smokers and we were very plaesed with their non smoking section. The only down fall is that their drinks are not complementry, when I drink I tend to spend more just like thousands of others. In all we have found a new spot to gamble, with only a 2 and a half hour ride from Monterey we will be returning very soon. 08/08/2004

I am a BIG fan.  I have played aT many California casinos and this one is by the far the BEST!  Professional staff, wide variety of slots (that pay off), the tables are fun and the atomsphere is great.  The buffet is GREAT!

Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino 10 out of 10

Chukchansi Resort was a very nice place to stay and play slot machines. The resort itself is in a beautiful area, and the drive from San Jose was great with plenty of blue sky and no traffic. The casino itself offers many choices to play on different kinds of slot machines, from the standard one line slot machine, to multi-line video slots. And no waiting. Totally hooked on Solstice Gold slot machines, and won/lost just enough to make me want to keep coming back!

Chukchansi Gold is very easy to get to from highway 41. Their entrance is well lit with its own stop light. The casino overlooks the hills and the highway, it is well laid out inside.  The rewards club was easy to find, but there was a wait to join. Cashier was friendly and efficient.  We stopped on our way back from Yosemite. Restrooms had nice design and were clean. Slots appear to be fair: One big winner and a couple of small losers.  A parking garage would be a great improvement. They had too many announcements for my tastes. They had lots of $1 machines, most of the popular .25 were in use. Goldfields Café had good food, good service, and a good view.

Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino 8 out of 10

I believe this is the closest I have come to Vegas although I must add that I have not been to too many in California.  I primarily play Blackjack and found the dealers to be very professional and most of the players knew what they were doing. I am not sure if it is a California law, but they do charge for alcohol, which I thought was not too smart on their part since I play much better when I am not drinking. It is worth the trip especially if you are near Yosimite.

Chumash Casino Resort 2 out of 10

I have been to Chumash three times and will probably not return again, despite being closest Indian Casino and the facility is not bad. Pros: I usually get comped for food without trouble and food is generally good. Cons: Too crouded in the weekends, rude pit bosses and staffs. Bad parking area and they often close parking with no reason even when not full. I won $3000 once playing BJ but since then lost all plus $1700.

Chumash Casino Resort 10 out of 10

I have been going to the Chumash Casino for many years. The casino is 99% better then it was a couple of years ago and gets better every month. They are still doing some construction. There are a few rude employees but for every one rude employee there are 50 nice ones that will help you with a smile. If you are in the area I would recomend that you go there. It's not Vegas but it is a lot closer.

I regularly play in the Poker room, both stakes hold'em and tourneys. The dealers are mostly good. There are generally a lot of players, and the waits are not too long on weekends. My only complaint is that they only have No-Limit Holdem on Friday and Saturday pms. With so many players interested in NL, why only Frid & Sat?

Chumash Casino Resort 7 out of 10

I'm talking strictly poker here.  They have an absolutely awesome poker room.  It is run well, the dealers are friendly, and the games are lively.  If you play poker, stop here.  I've played blackjack there also, have not had any problems.

Chumash Casino Resort 1 out of 10

I went to the Chumash Casino on May 16th for the first time.

The layout is attractive, the restaurant has excellent service and the food was good.  The machines did not seem generous but actually I did not do too badly.

Blackjack is my game generally and after playing for only about 30 minutes and being up about $200 I witnessed an event that convinced me to never enter the Chumash Casino again under any circumstances.  My reason, when there is a dispute, the pit supervisor cheats the players.

To explain, there was a table full of bad hands and the dealer showing a three.  Everyone stayed but the player in the last position signaled several times for a hit but the dealer ignored him.  The dealer then turned his hole card giving him a 13 and hit a six for 19, and began taking everyone's money.  The player who had wanted a hit (he had 12) was still asking for it so the dealer called over a supervisor.  This supervisor first looked over the table and decided that the dealer keeps his 19 and the last player could have a hit which turned out to be a 10, which would have busted the dealers hands if things had been dealt correctly.  One player got angry, said it was wrong and left.  I was watching and decided that purposely taking people's bets because of an error that the dealer even admitted making was purely dishonest and if it is a policy of the Chumash to steal from their customers, I will make sure I am not one of them.

Security very rude!  Accused me of being someone who goes around the casino looking to steal players credit.  They claimed I intentionally took credits from another player who had left the slot machine I decided to play.  About 20 minutes had gone by.  Without presenting any proof, Security accused me of taking the credits and demanded I repay it.  Need to say I will never return to this casino.

Slot Machines - Played $225, returned $172.60 (-52.40)Variety of machines, most interesting was a roulette with a wheel and ball, (Betting was not great for multiple numbers, but the next generation may be good). Highest Slot machine win from $20 was $77; also lost $20 from $20.Black Jack – Played $80, came out with $100   (+$20)Dealer was friendly enough, only two $5 tables, a few $10 and more. Never could get a seat at the $5. Cashier was friendly. She was also helpful in giving me records.Parking – No signs along the way, confusing entry with the busses next to cars; person directing traffic was not helpfulI just followed the cars. The new entry is under construction (Casino Dr), hopefully is will be ready in a few months.Toilets: In one restrooms, 3 of the 5 stalls were out of order (women). One of the men’s was not recently cleaned.Buffet – No worth the $12.99 for a Sunday. The deserts were good; sausage and bacon were cold, there was not a good selection of fresh bread. Next time we will stop for lunch in Solvang.

Colusa Casino 7 out of 10

Colusa Casino was doing some construction on the parking lot near the entrance. It is much easier to find the second time, more signs would help.I had a sandwich at One Eyed Jacks Restaurant in the Casino. The sandwich was nothing special, the service is good.

Colusa Casino 7 out of 10

Colusa Casino is located on Hwy 45 not too far from Interstate 5. It is a large mid-size casino (or small big casino) with a fair selection of machines. The platinum players club was easy to find and I received $10 signup bonus in play. Slot machine test: 2 winners and 2 losers.  Colusa casino does have free coffee and soft drinks and $.05 video poker. There are signs along I5. Highway 45 was a little further than I thought. Parking may be a problem when it is crowed.

Even though it was in the morning and the casino was not full, there was a wait for the cashier. Like many people, after I was 10 miles away I remember that I left my players card in the machine. Maybe someone will play a lot of money and get me points?

Colusa Casino 9 out of 10

My wife and I are seniors and go once or twice a week from the Sacramento area. This Casino meets our needs because we are on a small budget and love video pocker although we do play some slots. They have about 40 multi denominational machines from nickel to $10. On Sunday and Tuesday they have senior days and have a free slot tournament, coffee and pastry, and $5 in free play. They also send us each $20 in cash back every week. The restaurant is only fair but you can pay for or get a discount with your players card. This is not a high roller Casino but the staff is friendly and most machines are cash or ticket in and ticket out so there is no wait to collect. They also seem to have a variety of promotions going on all the time. For us, it's the best in the area.

Coyote Valley Shodakai Casino 8 out of 10

This casino is certainly not elegant by any stretch of the imagination. However it is one of the only Indian casinos to still have the original Indian Casino 8 line slot machines, They have the progressives. I won a considerable amount of money on those 8 line machines over the years and this trip was no different.

Coyote Valley Shodakai Casino 6 out of 10

The Coyote Valley Shodaki Casino is next to US 101. It is easy to get to and there are bill boards along the way on US 101. The access road has speed bumps that the road signs label them as “undulations.” The Coyote Valley Players club is between the casino and bingo room. The layout of the casino is a little strange. Coyote Valleys slot machines do not yet use the card, but I got $10 in free play for joining the club. Coyote Valley Casino has free sodas and coffee. I had a steak sandwich in Angelina Café. The sandwich was good.  Most of their machines had tickets, somehow I found one that paid in coins and could not find a bucket. Also I did not find some of the newer slot machines. My test of slot machines: 2 losers.

Overall good points very friendly and it is close to the highway.

Not a nice place-It seems the slots are proprietory for the most part and pay offs aren't great-Took a drive up there and it was a waste of our time (from Sonoma County). I wouldn't recommend this place.

Desert Rose Casino 7 out of 10

Alturas Casino, also known as the Desert Rose is one mile from US 395 on county road 56.  There were some signs on the highway, but more would help first time visitors to find the casino. They have two blackjack tables and 84 slot machines. They do have a few Wheel of Fortune machines and I did not have to wait at 5 Pm on Friday!  I had a good Bacon Lettuce Tomato Sandwich (BLT) from the snack bar. The casino is sort of cramped

I did not join the club because I did not see any signs where to join. I only found out about their club reading a brochure I picked up there. The Desert Rose is starting construction on a new casino that will have much more space.

Diamond Mountain Casino 8 out of 10

The casino is a modern and clean casino. Following the map on their Web site I was able to find the Diamond Mountain Casino. It is near highway 36, but more signs along the way would help. The casino has a gas station associated with it. The players club was near the entrance from the parking lot; they do not yet have a players card. Their steak house closed at 9 Pm a little before I arrived. The Diamond Mountain Casino had a full menu in the café where I had the prime rib. It was the thickest piece of prime rib I have ever been served. Our slot machine test was two looser and one even.

The Diamond Mountain Casino has free soft drinks and sodas and low cost beer. Diamond Mountain Casino has sufficient parking, is easy to get to from highway 36, and has good food, and a friendly atmosphere.

Eagle Mountain Casino 4 out of 10

Eagle mountain Casino is ways from Potterville. The road is not great with the last parts having 8 speed bumps that can be hard to see.  There were lots of staff running around, but seamed to be busy talking to each other. When a machine printer jammed, it took some time and some effort to get help. Trying to cash out was hard; the first two cashier’s cages were closed and third had a wait. Rest rooms are in need of additional maintenance.

Elk Valley Casino 9 out of 10

I have visited Elk Valley 3 times during my stay this summer. They have a Prime Rib Buffet on Wednesday nights that is SUPERB! The people are very friendly and offer free drinks of soda or coffee every 20 to 30 minutes. I have lost a little money on my last visit but left with a good feeling about my visit. The monthly comedy nights was recommeded by another customer to me as being a great time, but I have yet to try myself. Hopefully this visit if they aren't sold out.

Elk Valley Casino 7 out of 10

Elk valley Casino is a mid-size casino that is near US 101. Elk Valley casino is about 1 mile from the highway. There were some bill-boards along the way and it is easy to get to.  A few more signs would have been nice. The staff is friendly in a small town way. best casino ever!!!wow, never like it will i find one!

Fantasy Springs Casino 8 out of 10

Fantasy Springs is one of my favorites! Not so crowded and the people are very cordial. The food was pretty good. Easy access from freeway.Lots of machines! Good return.

Fantasy Springs Casino 8 out of 10

I think Fantasy Springs is a nice casino. It was the seventh I visited in a day and I was tired. The people were friendly. The hot dog for $1.50 was the best bargain. It was easy to get to from the freeways at the 86 and I0 interchange.

The Club Fantasy new member rewards had a program that they would cover ˝ a players losses in the first 24 hours. This encouraged me to play more than usual; I will let everyone know how much they supply me when the rebate comes. I will go back review it again with my losses rebate.

They have a mix of coin machines and ticket machines. On the first coin machine I played, I did not even know, and it surprised me when it put out coins instead on paper. Nitpicky: The restrooms need to be cleaned more often.

Feather Falls Casino 9 out of 10

Very good Seafood Buffet. Progressive penny slots are fun. $100.00 can last 3 or 4 hours. Drinks are free and the staff is friendly. Nice bar with a big screen, and a cafe.

Feather Falls Casino 8 out of 10

The breakfast buffet is good and includes fresh omelets. The $7.50 included juice and coffee. Players club card reading test of 11 slot machines: 10 the first time; 1 the second time.

Biggest problem are the busses at the main entrance. It smelled like diesel and there was a big line from the busses getting the free play.

Feather Falls is a nice casino that has the potential to be very good casino

Feather Falls Casino 7 out of 10

Feather Falls Casino is located in Oroville, CA about three miles off highway 70. There were plenty of signs along highway 70. An additional sign or two on Ophir road would help confirm that you are going the right way. Feather Falls is a large modern casino with 1000 mostly new slot machines. I found that the buffet is closed on Monday and Tuesdays and the food at the café was nothing special. The magic bonus club did require a form to join. Feather Falls Casino is clean, bright with nice restrooms.

Construction is still ongoing. Players club card reading test of 11 slot machines: 9 the first time; 2 required 2 tries.

Gold Country Casino 6 out of 10

Gold Country Casino has construction where they are building a new casino. There were signs on highway 70 for Gold Country Casino.

The existing gold country casino, it is sort of confusing. Next to the front door was the gold country casino players club which I joined and received a ticket for the summer kick-off drawing. The layout of the casino is confusing, I assume it has grown and grown. There was a mix of machines. There was a wait to cash out.  The restrooms smelled a little. They had free sodas and coffee. The Gold Country casino Staff was friendly. I will visit again when the new Casio opens.

Golden Acorn Casino 7 out of 10

You can see it from the I8. It takes less than a minute from the exit to the casino. They also have a gas station and convenience store. The golden Acorn is a mid-size casino that looks new. They have plenty of new slot machines and I did play some black jack at a $3 table. The Players Gold is at the back, but it is not far. It has one restaurant. When I visited the casino in the middle of the day, it was somewhat empty. They have a nice selection of .05 machines. If you are traveling on I8, it is worth a stop.

Harrah's Rincon Casino and Resort 8 out of 10

The new parking structure is open at Harrah Rincon.  Harrahs is a clean and nice casino that will have the new additional opening in December. The players club seam to have a small wait.  There was space at the wheel of future slot machines on a Friday afternoon.

Harrah's Rincon Casino and Resort 8 out of 10

We thoroughly enjoyed this place. We spent one night in their "luxary" room. The only reason I give this place an 8 and not a 9 is because it's quite a drive through twisty roads and we can't even get a room anymore, they are booked solid! Hopefully this problem will resolve itself once the new hotel is completed. Also, the new hotel and casino space should bring the rating from a 9 to a 10 as far as crowding goes. I think this may be the only San Diego area casino that still uses coin machines instead of tickets. The casino was very comfortable and well laid out. Although it wasn't huge, it also wasn't crowded. They seemed to space the machines well. They also had multiple lounges, which is kind of rare at some of these places. It didn't seem overly smoky either, which many indian casinos are. The food was excellent from start to finish, and maybe better. The buffet was the best I've seen anywhere, hands down. The selection incredible and well laid out. The steak house was well priced and excellently staffed. The rooms were very large and quite cheap. This casino and hotel felt like Vegas. It was a bit smaller than I would have liked, but the remodel should clear that up. We really wish that they would hurry up and get some rooms available, we'd love to come back. The staff was very helpful and all spoke clear english with no accent.

Harrah's Rincon Casino and Resort 1 out of 10

Beautiful hotel and casino, service for the most part was great but I will never return again.  Was accused of being a thief after finding money on the floor.  When they approached me stating I had stolen the money, I told them I had found it on the ground, they told me I had to leave the casino.  I was just wondering if I had been 20 years older would they had treated me the same way or would I have been approached differently?

Harrah's Rincon Casino and Resort 7 out of 10

Harrahs Rincon Casino is a little off Highway 76, Marked, A bigger sign would help.I had to wait in line a few minutes to join Harrah’s Total rewards. The rewards club is the same for all Harrah casinos. Casino had a nice layout and I was able to park close.  Restroom was nice and clean. They had a good mix of machines.Nitpicky: Too many announcements about busses in the day. One machine did not take $20 bills, I tried several.

Havasu Landing Resort Casino 7 out of 10

I found the people to be friendly at the Havasu Landing Resort. By car Havasu is little off the beaten track. It is 19 miles from highway 95 where there is a sign. Most people visit by taking the Dreamcatcher boat from Havasu City.  When I came in I missed the player’s club sign, but it is small enough casino that everything can be found easily. For joining I got a deck of cards, a free boat trip, and 10% of a meal. They did require me to fill out a form to join. Slot machine test: one winner, one Loser. They have a good selection of slot machines. A few more .25 machines would be an improvement

They had a $3 limit black jack and I played a while. Sitting in the restaurant I had a great view of the lake and city. If you are ever in Havasu City, the boat ride and playing Havasu Landing Casino is worth the trip.

Outstanding views of Lake Havasu & City.  Friendly staff and good food. Table games were fun and friendly. Slots were loose. Nice boat marina.

Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah Casino 5 out of 10

I've gone to this place and to the River Rock Casino and the River Rock is TEN TIMES better this place. Every aspect of River Rock is better than this place. I like to play blackjack and I could swear that this place cheats. They seem to always get the perfect card when they need it. They place is VERY rundown. If your in the area I couldn't see why you would go here than to the River Rock Casoni

Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah Casino 5 out of 10

This casino is pretty typical of the ones in this area. Not elegant at all. Restaurant does not take credit cards. Pretty good selection of machines with decent video poker. It has a sign which says it is the Bay Area's No. 1 casino. I expect Cache Creek will be surprised to learn of this. Cache Creek has more clients in a day than this casino does in a month.

Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah Casino 7 out of 10

The Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah casino is about 5 miles away from Highway US 101 on Highway 175.  It is easy to find. The players club is towards the back.  Some of their machines are coins, most provided tickets. The Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah casino seamed a little run down, but friendly. When I cashed out on the coin machine I could not find a bucket. Then there was a wait at the cashier. They have free sodas, coffee, and a large parking lot. The busses were annoying. I tried to take a picture of the casino, but all I got was a picture the busses.

Great place, but in the last few months the bands playing music too loud! Also had problem with female bar person with blond hair. The big guy behind the bar is great.

Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah Casino 9 out of 10

This casio really works hard to make the customer feel at home.  It is in a beautiful part of the state, surrounded by vineyards and orchards.  There are lots of slot machines to choose from, good food, great entertainment - a great location for tourists as well as locals.  This one's my favorite in the upper Bay area.

REally like this place because we;ve had a lot of luck here-the people are nice and I feel like you can play and win-

Jackson Rancheria Casino, Hotel, & Conference Center 10 out of 10

09/30/2004

We spent 3 days at Jackson Rancheria just a week ago. It is by far the friendliest casino we have been to and we have visited over 75 casinos around the country.

We stayed in their hotel which was quite nice though not as elegant as Barona, Pala, Cache Creek etc. They bought us snacks and drinks because we had to wait 30 minutes to check into our room. Everybody, from the casino attendants, cashiers, slot club people, etc. where very freindly and helpful.

They have a pretty large selection of slots. They do have some of the best Video Poker in California. They have 10/8 progressive bonus video poker quarter machines. The slots were pretty loose.

It is also located in a very pretty area which is a plus.

How old do you have to be to play the slot in the casino

Jackson Rancheria Casino, Hotel, & Conference Center 7 out of 10

Jackson Rancheria Casino is open, the construction is mostly complete. I had trouble finding the casinos using the top level map they have on their web site. More signs would help and if you have never been there you should print the detailed map. Inside, it is nice, but a little confusing because it is still being finished. I missed the Dream Catchers Club (players club) because it was partially hidden and walked to the far end looking for the club. There was a small wait to join. There was a wide selection of machines. Iris won $100 on the Harley Davidson Slot machine, her new favorite slot machine.  Twice I cashed out quickly. When we were leaving there was a long wait to cash out. Once they get a few more items completed, Jackson Rancheria Casino will be a better place to visit.

Jackson Rancheria Casino, Hotel, & Conference Center 5 out of 10

It's an ok casino for bingo, slot and black   jack players but has no craps, 7 card or holdem poker. Good food and priced reasonable.

Konocti Vista Resort and Casino 7 out of 10

Konocti Vista Casino Resort and Marina is located about two miles from highway 29. The road goes through a residential part of the reservation. A few more signs along the way would be helpful. The Konocti Kask players club was near the entrance and easy to see.  They have a mix of machines some with coins, most with tickets. For its size, it had a high percentage of dollar machines. They have some bus groups which can cause problems when they all line up to get their free pay. My slot machine test: one winner, one loser.

Next time I visit I will visit the Marina as well.

Great casino Love the penny slots many, just remember touch the $.05 on screen to change to $.01 or $.02 or $.05.................

La Jolla Slot Arcade 5 out of 10

This is closed with no current plans to re-open.

La Jolla Slot Arcade 5 out of 10

La Jolla Slot Arcade is just like their name says - a gas station, small market, with an arcade of 30 slot machines. The machines are the same as at some of their bigger rivals on Highway 76.

The restroom was not very nice, but if you are in the area, you can get reasonable gas and play easily.

Lucky 7 Casino 2 out of 10

I visited Lucky 7 for the third time this summer. Even though they have free soda and coffee I was never asked in the 3 hours I was there if I would like something to drink. I broke even with my play during that time. Atmosphere was cold and unfriendly, all the neon in such a small area was terrible on the eyes. I did find the food in the restaurant to be good however.

Lucky 7 Casino 8 out of 10

Lucky 7 Casino is a mid-size casino on US 101 in Smith River. There are plenty of signs. The club has an office instead of booth and is next to the entrance. Lucky 7 is modern with a good selection of slot machines. Lucky 7 Casino has a high ratio of dollar machines and could use more $.25 reel machines.

The restaurant was recommended to me both by players and the staff. The Monday night prime rib is highly regarded as great value in the Smith river area.  Our slot machine test was two winners.  There is some minor construction where they are moving the Bar into the Casino.

Lucky 7 Casino has a convenience store and gas station as part of the complex. During the week, parking is not a problem. On week-end nights it can be a problem.  Lucky 7 Casino has added an overflow lot to help during peak times.

Lucky Bear Casino 7 out of 10

Lucky Bear Casino is a small casino that does many things well. It is a good model for the smaller Indian casinos in California.  Even though they do not have many machines, there is plenty of space between each slot machine. The staff is friendly including the guards! It is also a non-smoking establishment. I noticed that the Luck Bear Casino smelled fresher and was cleaner that most casinos, but did not learn why until I wrote up the review and rechecked their web sites.

Lucky Bear is off the beaten track, on highway 96. A few more signs along highway would have been reassuring. Their machines are all coins. On one the money ran out, but they came within a minute to fill it up. The cashier was friendly. Our slot machine test is three losers out of four machines.

Mono Wind Casino 7 out of 10

Mono Wind Casino is a Midsize Indian Casino near Auberry, California. Mono Winds casino is off the beaten track and is usually not crowded. It is a little primitive when compare to its nearest neighbor Table Mountain. For joining the club I got $ 5 in free play.  The layout reflected its incremental growth as more people have found it. The people are friendly in a small town way. Our slot test was 1 winner out of three tries.

Paiute Palace Casino 7 out of 10

09/11/2004

We stayed in Bishop this night and spent several hours at the casino. The casino is quite small though it does have a pretty good variety of machines. The machines are reasonably loose. We ate at the restaurant which is pretty small and not very elegant but it was OK. I suggest you eat at Jack's in downtown Bishop on 395. As mentioned, the location is great, just 5 minutes from downtown Bishop on 395.

Paiute Palace Casino 7 out of 10

Paiute Palace Casino has an inviting location(especially at night time)right off the 395HWY in Bishop with hotels 5 minutes away. Had good return at slot machine.  Video games were confusing.  Couldn't figure out what made a win or loss ; didn't have any wins there. Didn't have any luck at the blackjack table either. The casino had a restaurant, but we didn't eat there. Staff was friendly. Trip was fun, but would like to have had greater returns!

Paiute Palace Casino 6 out of 10

The Paiute Palace Casino is on highway 395 on the outskirts of Bishop California. There are signs along the highway reminding of the way. It is a mid-size casino with a variety of slot machines. The Native tracker players club is just inside of the door.  They have a restaurant that several of the people working there recommended.

The staff was friendly and some were Indians. The slot machine test had 1 winner and 2 losers. They have free soda and coffee. They have a wider selection of slots than you see when you first come in. The $05 video slots are towards the back. They also have a gas station that has reasonable prices.

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 8 out of 10

Pala is a better Indian casino in CA. Although not as heavily marketed like Barona or Pechanga, it's par with Barona and better than Pechanga. Pros: Friendly host(Harvey Rosen) and staff, clean nice rooms, comp water and safe(was broken in my room) in rooms. Two deck BJ in High Limit. Con: mediocre food quality and service. Booney surroundings and some twisty roads. My experience: I started with $1000 and played mostly BJ until I was down to $250. Then I got even to $1000, so I decided to take a High Limit two deck BJ a shot. After 13 hours I was up $11,000. Thank you Pala. Plus, I got all my food, room, and gifts comped.

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 8 out of 10

I visited the Pala casino on Saturday; 08/28/04 and was so Impressed I went back the next Saturday (09/07/04) This given fact I had to drive 2 hours from Los Angeles to get there. The casino is easy to get to.Hitting highway 76 from the 5  or the15 freeway you take a two lane winding road through the sweeping hillside and bolder ridden  mountains until the you emerge to  see the Pala  Hotel . The casino from the outside looks new and fits in very well with the surrounding mountains. Parking in the parking deck is easy and conveniently located a short walk from the casino entrance. The Pala casino is huge, clean and has lots slot machines and table games. The part I like best is that there is a live band that is playing on the casino floor just above the bar. This reminds me of the MGM in Vegas. The Steak and Shrimp buffet on Saturdays will cost you about 20 dollars per person. However, I found the buffet Brunch less expensive and as just as much variety. The staff for the most part seems friendly However, the bartenders, on both my visits seem moody, sarcastic, and have an attitude like you are bothering them if you ask for drink and are not sitting at the bar. This does not come off as customer friendly.

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 8 out of 10

Hotel and casino excellent, food mediocre. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated at the Pala cafe, when it was nearly empty. The staff there outnumbered the customers. We then waited 15 minutes to get waited on, and finally had to complain to get waited on. The served never once apologised for being late and was still slow and rude. I seriously wondered if he was on drugs. Several other guests also seemed put out at this cafe. The italian restaurant had good staffing, but the food was just not up to par. HOWEVER the entire rest of the hotel and casino were immaculate. The room was huge and very very clean. Guest services visited at least twice to keep our room looking good for our one night. They even change the elevator rugs out for the different times of day "good evening" "good afternoon" etc. The casino was the same. Several times I thought to myself "I am in Vegas". Many of the indian casinos are too smoky, but this one was not. The floor was very nicely laid out and well decorated. You could easily look around to determine what areas sparked interest. The prices were reasonable and we will be back.

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 10 out of 10

The Pala Casino is by far the "BEST" casino we have ever been to.  We travel all over Calif. and have seen most or all. I have enjoyed a facial and massage at the spa several times and was delighted with the help and the prices. The buffet is delicious and fairly priced.  We try to go on Fri. for their seafood buffet, which is the best around. They have the latest slots and also very loose ones.  We always leave either a bit ahead or at least win enough to pay our dinner bill.  My husband has won $1000 several times. The hotel and surrounding areas are breathtaking.  There is always music and places to sit for the non-gamblers, and the non smoking area is enclosed by glass and is truly a non smoking area.  There are single person booths that are located all over the casino to cash tickets.  The staff is friendly and quick.  The Pala Privilages center was quick, gave me a card on the spot and didn't make me fill out a form. There are many table games and also roullete and craps.  All in all we have a great time and whenever we are in San Diego county we make sure we get to Pala.  Way to go Pala Casino.

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 10 out of 10

Pala Casino is the "BEST" of any casino I have ever been in.  We travel all over california and Pala beats all.  The buffet is the most delicious and fairly priced. we try to make the seafood buffet when we can. We always leave with either some winnings or almost even.  Most times we at least pay for our buffet with our winnings.  The slots are all the latest games and the staff is the friendliest and quickest we have ever encountered. There are single person booths all over the casino to cash tickets. The hotel is beautiful as is the view.  And there is always a band playing for the non-gamblers to listen to. There is also a smoking room that is glassed off from the rest of the casino so it is truly smoke free. All in all the best  Way to go Pala!!!!

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 10 out of 10

Pala Casino Resort is breathtaking when you first arrive.  The design reminds me of the Grand Californian at Disneyland with the view.  A large variety of machines with lots of the favorite machines available for play.  The buffet was good and reasonable.  The slots were loose as well.  No casino is out to loose money, but at least at Pala you get enough return to make it enjoyable.  We came out about even, but played all day.  Wonderful!!!!

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 9 out of 10

Pala is our local casino that we normally visit. It is my favorite casino. We have visited 50+ casinos in California as well as Las Vegas, Laughlin, Lake Tahoe, Reno, etc.

Pala has the best variety of machines that I have seen anywhere. They are a little weak on Video Poker but it is not bad. Their machines are pretty loose. certainly better than Nevada. Pala is a complete resort and very elegant. Customer service is excellent and they are generous with their comps.

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 10 out of 10

The Pala Café at the Pala Casino is worth visiting if you a player or not. With its indoor and out door seating it gives you a Mediterranean like atmosphere. Chris, the waiter gave great service, the food was very good, and it looked very nice. It was far enough away from the machines that it was not noisy, but you still had plenty of people to watch. I will visit this gem of the Pala again.

Pala Casino Resort and Spa 9 out of 10

Pala Casino is easy to find on Highway 76. It has its own gas station with reasonable prices. The parking is arranged so that it is near the casino.

The people were friendly. The buffet is very nice. When you join the Pala Privileges (Their player club), I got a coupon for $2 off on the buffet. I did not need to fill out a form to join Pala Privileges. The Restrooms were nice and clean.

The non-smoking room was well integrated with the rest of the casino.

I won $180 from a Slot machine I started with $20, never put more in and got a nice jackpot and left with $200. Pala gets my highest recommendation.

Small Nit-picks: The Privileges sign-up is far from the Parking lot entry to the casino. The $2 off coupon should have been for any of their restaurants.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 3 out of 10

Very dissapointing.

We stayed one night at the hotel and that will be our last. The hotel was overpriced and honestly not very nice. In fact everything at this place seemed overpriced. The food was good at the seafood restaurant, and the buffet. But other than that everything seemed lacking. I went with one other person on a Saturday night and didn't get even one chance to play on a slot machine because they were full the entire night. The casino is decorated about as exciting as a tool shed. I didn't once feel like I was in Vegas. The hotel room was just too small, and the bathroom door was sliding like a closet door. The staff wasn't great. We came early (not expecting to check in already) and had no bags yet. The bellhop still went up to the room with us, which I thought was kind of cheesy. It was also very loud all night, lots of younger crowd with no respect for others. Every 30 minutes we heard someone go screaming down the hallway.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 2 out of 10

I have been to Pechanga twice and must say the staff needs some training in customer service and etiquette. I had problem getting simple information from them. Pros: Nice facility, close to the freeway. Cons: Rude staff, have to pay for alcohol while playing, Food is not to good at any restaurant/snack bar/buffet. Constant shuffle machine for BJ. I once won $1175 on slots and took attendant 45 minutes to pay me. When she came back with the cash, she had two other leach along to get tips. Lame...

Pechanga Resort & Casino 3 out of 10

This place is nothhing like it's neighbor, Pala Casino! Pala is a RESORT! Pechanga is a DIVE!

Pechanga Resort & Casino 2 out of 10

This place sucks, I really didn't like it at all. I've been there twice and that was 2 times too many! The first time I went there, I was playing 25 cent slots with the rockets on the bar symbols that go up and down to help you get a winning combo...well, I got 3 bar symbols lined up and one of those damn rockets moved and turned my small winner into a loser!! I couldn't believe it, I've never seen anything like that before!! That was my first clue that this place is really greedy (more so than your average Indian casino). Also, they have too many CSMs and restrictive blackjack rules like no resplitting of aces. For just a little bit more of a drive from LA, I much prefer Pala which is head and shoulders above Pechanga.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 1 out of 10

Worst Indian Casino ever built.  The kind of people that enter the casino are dirty and rude, which agree well with their poor staff and service.  Not only were the security and employees irritating, but I found them to be physically and verbally abusive.  Long wait for a machine, over-crowded, and no parking.  Not worth the drive.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 7 out of 10

I have to say that I was disappointed.  I'd heard so much about Commerce, "the biggest, the best".  Well, it might be the biggest, but I don't think the best.  The place is huge with plenty of games from which to choose.  Very little time waiting for a table and there appeared to be many amentities for food and beverage, (I didn't eat or drink except for a beer at the table.)  That's where the good news ends.  It looked like a lot of people wanted to be in charge but nobody was really minding the store.  The dealers seemed to be more concerned with when they were going to get a break, and did not pay close enough attention to the game.  Our table had two problems that would not have happened if the dealer was paying attention to the game instead of looking to see who was going to relieve them.  The beverage service was weak at best.  I waited for 20 minutes to try and order a beer.  I finally gave up and got a coke.  The facility is very impressive, but they could work on good old fashioned customer service.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 9 out of 10

Pechanga is a great place to go if you do not want to drive to Vegas.this is my home away from home.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 9 out of 10

I'm really surprised that some people find this wonderful Casino, not very good.  At the contrary.. I really enjoy it and done not bad at all.  I'm a frequent guest and I do enjoy it very much.  Their Slot machines are great, including the nonsmoking area.  This casino is very accessable closed to the freeway.  Now, talking about the buffet... they need to work a little more on the sevice.  Good thing for the huge Mall just about 2 exits. Several restaurants to enjoy.  I ussally come out even, but I must say... it pays off to have fun at Pechanga !

Pechanga Resort & Casino 2 out of 10

Pechanga's only nice thing was the free valet parking. The guys were very nice in and out.

Inside they don't want you to play 21, especially if you are only betting $5 or $10 dollars. Plenty of $25 tables, though. Not one dealer smiled or said "good luck".

Their tables are spread out over a large casino, and I asked if there were open tables for my price range. The pit boss didn't know and sent me arounfd the whole casino.

The non-smoking are was dead except for a $25 table open. No one cares, no customer service or drinks.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 7 out of 10

Pechanga is a very nice casino. LOTS of machines but not enough change people. The restaurants are wonderful. Close to freeway. The construction now is a pain but when it is finish it can certainly be compared to a Vegas casino.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 6 out of 10

The Pechange club required you to fill out a a form as well as drivers license.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 6 out of 10

Pechanga Casino is large! It is easy to get to from I15. There are signs along the way. Good points – I won $13 (started with $60, left with $73.05); Very nice rest rooms, It is nicely laid out. All most all were new machines. Staff was friendly. Problems:The construction is still going on. The traffic sites were set for the old configuration.Getting from your car to the casino is a hike. The coffee was not good.

Pechanga Resort & Casino 4 out of 10

Very nice Casino facility. If you are a non smoker forget it after 4PM Monday thu Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. The air system will not handle the volume of smoke and the smokers love to blow smoke in your face. They even allow cigar smoking. There is a small non smoking gaming area but all the slots and card machines in there sucked. They have card tables in there too. There is a poker only area in the lower level that is non smoking only but I got the impression that it was for tournaments and hard core gamblers.

The minimum on all the card tables was $15. A little steep for us working folks. The card machines and slots were OK in the morning but seemed to be un-winnable after around 2PM???

All machine payoffs are on slips of paper around ATM size. However, many of the machines will not read them so you have to go to a money changer machine or the cage to get you money. All machines take paper money. The idea is to be able to go to any other machine with the slips. The floor staff seemed much more interested in chatting with each other than assisting any patron. There was no assistance if you didn't understand a machine. The buffet however was excellent and reasonable in cost. We arrived at 1030 AM on Friday and had no problem parking in the parking structure. We left at 1030 PM on a Friday and could not see any open parking spaces anywhere. They kept coming around and asking if you wanted cocktails. So I asked for a beer then found out that they charge you for all drinks (I was told that they can't give free alcohol in California) $3 for a beer. The age to gamble is supposidly 21 but I saw many young people there and no one checking ID's.

The place is very nice and impressive but the volume of smoking in there will destroy it in a couple of years.

Why can't we find a band of non smoking Indians to open a casino? I would definately be a patron as would many others in California. I am part Indian and a non smoker.

Pit River Casino 7 out of 10

The Pit River Casino is less than a mile off the highway 299 in Burney California. A turn onto Tamarack from highway and it leads to the casino.  There is a sign and the road is good, but it is through a residential area with a 25 mph speed limit. More signs could help, but I think every one in Burney can tell you where the casino is. The casino is not large, but the people are friend.  They currently do not have a player club. They have several blackjack tables as well as a good selection of slot machines. I thought the casino had a high proportion of 1$ machines for its size. Pit River does have free sodas and coffee.

Quechan Paradise Casino 3 out of 10

I don't know, I dodn't like this casino much. Granted, I don't have that much Casino experience (a few Vegas trips), but still, I found that it was not good. I play mostly blackjack. The crew is not very friendly and looks tired most of the time. Hey, I don't like playing against an unfriendly tired dealer. The waitresses took their time in serving the drinks. The casino also looked strangely like a bunker to me. I don't know, just for the atmosphere, I didn't like it. I broke even on the trip, making enough money to buy me a nice dinner and gas, but that was about it.

Quechan Paradise Casino 7 out of 10

The Paradise casino is close to I8 and there are signs guiding you to the casino. The route is somewhat of a circle, but it is close to the Interstate. The Paradise is two casino buildings right next to each other: a California casino and an Arizona casino.

The Quschan Paradise California is a mid-size casino that has a good selection of machines. There was a small wait to join the club, but nothing is given for joining.   I would say there are too many $1 machines and not enough $.25 machines. My slot machine test had 3 losers and no winners. The casino provides free soft drinks and coffee.

After the California Casino, I visited the Arizona Casino, it seamed a little livelier and a little bigger. The Arizona has the restaurants. Both are worth a short visit when you are traveling along I8.

Red Fox Casino 5 out of 10

Red Fox Casino is a small casino close to US 101. It is about a mile away from the Highway. I missed the turn-off from 101, more signs would have helped. It is a small casino with a gravel parking lot.  There is no club join so there was not waiting! Some of the machine appeared to be second hand and things like replacing light bulbs have not been done.  The restroom had a broken toilet and they were not very modern.  Slot machine test was one winner and one loser.

Love this place.  First machine I played (3 pulls in) I won $350.  My friend won $850 within 10 mins.  Good variety of slots.  Two drawback - 1. the air conditioning comes up from the floor and its freezing 2. no liquor license - this is confusing since they're in the middle of the wine country.  Geez, plant a vineyard and call your casino a wine tasting room with gaming.  The employees are nice and helpful and casino is clean.

River Rock Casino 7 out of 10

Labor Day weekend, 2004.  Decided to go with another couple to check out River Rock.  As noted in previous reviews, it's a little confusing getting there. Plus we live 30 minutes north of the GGB and it took us an hour to get there with no traffic. The parking is non-existent, but valet service was great.  Had to wait in a long line of cars just to get to the parking lot area in front of casino.  Okay!  Finally in...let's get a beer and walk around.  WHAT?  No liquor license??? We played a few slots and left.  Won a few $$$. The lady next to me hit $450 on the $1 slots. Maybe when it's all done we'll go back, but not before that!  Nice facility, nice employees, limited food.

love it there bignonsmoking room in the back lots of penny machines.its a short trip from the bay area.the parking now is not to good use the valet it is free.parkinglot should be done by the end of year .food is not to good could use some new cooks other wise else the casion is great.bad thing is to many orientalscome on the busesandare very rude to people they dont spend money some times they get out of hand saving machines for their friends which is frustrating at times otherwise the casino is great to play at will keep going backas river rock is the best casino for gamblingfrom leaving the bay area over a 2 hour drive .won many times .

River Rock Casino 7 out of 10

This casino is definitely the best of the 4 or 5 around the general area. Pretty good variety of machines and the video poker is pretty decent. It is the closest casino to San Francisco but traffic can be horrendous along 101. Cache Creek is a much better choice.

River Rock Casino 10 out of 10

The River Rock Casino is lot more qualitative and quanitative. THe actual casino is very nice with great machines and excellent card tables. But the place is a little less quanitative, but that didn't bother me at all. THe staff were EXTREMELY nice and generous, there were free sodas with excellent cheap priced food and it had a very clean and luxurious look to it, sort of like the new casinos in Vegas. As for your ability to win, lets just say it this way. I played blackjack for about two hours and I won over $400. Even though its 3 hour drive there and back from my house (I live in the NorthBay), I plan on going back there every week or two. If I would give it a grade I would easily give it an A+.

River Rock Casino 7 out of 10

You can see the River Rock Casino from 101; but then there is a zigzag drive on a few miles to get there. More signs along the way would be beneficial. While the casino is nice inside there is currently construction on a parking structure which makes the parking lot too small.  I used Valet parking because I could not find a parking spot. The valet parking was free. The players club is right when you come in the front entrance.  River rock has too many $1 machines for a casino of its size. My machine test: three losers out of three machines. I had to wait to cash out.

I had the buffet lunch which is not fancy, but tasted good. The view from the dining room is nice.  I plan to go back once the construction is complete.

Been there a few times NO FREE SODA! and had a problem finding parking and didnot win

River Rock Casino 6 out of 10

It's OK, but kind of a pain to get to.  Once you're there it's a confusion of construction, delays, poor parking.  Inside it's well laid out, but I couldn't get the slot attendant's attention when I needed him.  I played for almost 3 hours and didn't win any jackpots over $10.

River Rock Casino 10 out of 10

I Love River Rock Casino!!  I've been to many Indian Casino's in Northern California and River Rock is my favorite.  Other Indian casinos claim to be friendly but River Rock's staff do a great job keeping the place fun as well as clean.  There's always someone wiping down the slot machines and re-arranging the chairs.  The cashier staff are just as happy as I am when I cash in my scripts.  It is never overcrowded like Cache Creek Casino and the patrons that visit River Rock are very nice people.  I don't know about others, but I certainly get nice payouts when I play various slot machines.  The resturant food, either buffet or ordering from the menu, is excellent.  Another great feature of River Rock is the view from the outside patio... a beautiful scenery of vineyards and rolling hills.  Wonderful casino!

Robinson Rancheria Casino and Bingo 2 out of 10

This is the worst Casino of the 30 or so that we have visited in California. Maachines are very tight. Video poker is pretty bad. They are in the process of building a new casino/hotel. I don't know how it will survive. The casino was almost empty on a Sunday afternoon and the area around the casino is very poor. The new casino will still have the same super tight machines. Nobody was winning anything.

Robinson Rancheria Casino and Bingo 6 out of 10

We visited Robinson Rancheria Casino during the afternoon. We noticed even though the casino was empty, it smelled like smoke.  With construction getting to the entrance can be a small delay. Our slot machine test was one winner and one loser.

Robinson Rancheria Casino and Bingo 7 out of 10

Robinson Rancheria Casino is Highway 20 near Nice California. Since I won $200 on the Wheel of fortune my review may be biased. It is on the highway and there were plenty of signs reminding me. As a warning, they are doing construction in front on the entrance, but this did not seam to interfere with the casino or take-up much of the parting lot. They did require a form to join the Robinson riches club which I try to discourage. The staff was friendly at Robinson Rancheria casino. I can highly recommend the restaurant for good food and good prices. Several of the staff I spoke with also recommended the restaurant. I plan to go back and have dinner.

My slot machine test was one winner of $200 and two losers. They have free coffee and soft drinks. This was my first visit to Clear Lake which is very nice location and lake in California.

Rolling Hills Casino 8 out of 10

WE stop with our motorhome and play and eat.Nice buffet, little expencive but good taste.Nice parking.

Rolling Hills Casino 10 out of 10

My Wife and I have been too Ten Indian Casinos in California. Rolling Hills Casino is the Cleanest and there staff is very Friendly. We are Retired and love to play Slots. One day we walked in with only $20.00 and came home with over $400.00 (We bought a new dryer) The Food is real good And the service is out standing.

Thank you Rolling Hills Casino . You gave us a Nice clean place to have our Fun. The Parking lot is safe at night. We will be back often.

Rolling Hills Casino 9 out of 10

I have been there lots of times. It's a favorite for me because they have lots of penny machines but you can change to other amounts just by touching the screen. It's clean and employees to take your tickets so no waiting in line for that or for change.

Rolling Hills Casino 7 out of 10

Rolling Hills Casino is located next to Interstate 5. Going north you can see it before the exit. The restrooms were clean and nice. I had no trouble parking on Tuesday night, but I am sure it can be a problem on the wrong day. Since it is directly on the Interstate there can be lines for the buffet. The Rolling hills casino staff was friendly. My slot machine test was leaving with $91.50 when I started with $80. The Shasta Club was easy to find and there was a short wait to join; there was nothing free for joining.  They do not have enough .05 machines for many players. When I am on I5 and in the neighborhood, I will stop again and hopefully be able to sample the buffet.

San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino 1 out of 10

I have been there once and it was enough. The place looks like a worst Las Vegas casino imaginable look good. Horrible parking condition due to construction, bad air, bad facility, bad staff, bad payout, just bad, bad, bad... Some BJ table was so worn out, it had cigarette burns, holes, food stains etc. Cocktail service was nowhere to be found. What a shitty place!

San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino 5 out of 10

nice casino but undergoing construction. bingo suck's here. Bingo announcers think they are on stage, can't understand lingo. I was not the only one. Everyone in my section was commenting on the confusing announcers. Non smoking area was upstairs in a giant room. All the smoke was up in the non-smoking area.  Not enough slot

machine's. Not enough change cages to redeem your "vouchers". Too small a place for the amount of people that wait in line for a slot machine. You need to stand in line to do almost anything at this casino, including getting a ride to and from the parking lot. Slot machine's

are tight in PM hours and tend to pay off in early AM hours.

San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino 1 out of 10

Worst casino I have ever been in. No, REAL Keno, not enough machines, to many $5.00 machines. Bingo stinks too.

San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino 6 out of 10

San Manuel is in the middle of construction for the new Casino. I had to park up the hill which was little confusing. There was free coffee there and the shuttle left every five minutes. The Shuttle drivers were friendly.

The Player’s Club required a form to join. They also put your picture on the card.

There are not enough .25 slots, too many $5.00 slots. Some of the staff was not as friendly as some other Casinos. Restrooms were not as nice as some other casinos. It is the closest Indian Casino to Los Angeles, and it is easy to find once you have been there once. It is very close to Highway 30.

Soboba Casino 9 out of 10

NOW THEY HAVE CRAPS!  THE WAY THEY PLAY IT IS A LITTLE WIERD, THEY USE CARDS AND DICE, BUT ONCE YOU GET USED TO IT THE GAME IS JUST LIKE NORMAL.  HAVE ALWAYS LIKED THE FOOD.  WILL GO BACK SOON.

Soboba Casino 5 out of 10

Soboba Casino;  I was told it was half hour pass the middle of nowhere and I was told correctly.  Once there it is somehow very busy and crowded.  Not enough blackjack tables but the rules for their 6 deck game, are about tied for the best in California and the people seem quite friendly.  The DD game is just about unplayable. I had a nice winning session on the tables but found the video poker poor as was the snack bar.  With better video poker and food I would have rated this place several points higher.

Soboba Casino 5 out of 10

Soboba Casino is a little off the highway. There were signs along the way. The casino appears to be four buildings joined together, so it is a little effort to find things. It is was crowded in places. It was hard to find the booth to join Club Soboba. There was no wait when I joined. The café was crowded; Christa had a kraut dog, which was good. They did have free soft drinks and coffee at some of the machines. I had to wait 7 minutes to cash out, and then the cashier tried to get me bills that would not go into a machine. Restrooms need to be cleaned more often.

Spa Resort Casino 7 out of 10

The Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs is large and looks very nice inside. There are not many signs, but if you are in Palm Springs, you can find it. Five dollars for Valet parking is high. Restrooms were elegant and clean. Club Paradise was towards the back, 3-minute wait to join. It is the same club paradise for SPA casino and Aqua Caliente casino. The Spa casino is one of the most elegant casinos in California. It is also one of the most crowded. It was a lively crowd. Even though the casino was full, No wait to cash out. The staff was not as helpful as some other casinos, they shut one restroom for cleaning, but could not explain in English where the other restroom was. The 5:00 PM drawing was very annoying. They kept making all sort of annoying announcements that made playing the machines less fun.

Sycuan Casino & Resort 4 out of 10

This place never impresses me and I wonder why I go back... It has to be the smokiest place I've ever been in. The casino floor is crowded, not small, but not well laid out. I never once felt comfortable there. All the slot machines are just not spaced correctly. There is very little decor to make one feel like they are in a Vegas casino. The staff was unhelpful and barely any spoke english. We found most of the machines full and had a hard time spending our money, even though we wanted to. We tried to sit at one machine, but a single person was playing multiple machines, and the attendant (about 3 paces away) watched the entire episode and did nothing. I guess this place doesn't want your money. The only reason anyone goes here is because it's the closest casino to downtown San Diego.

Sycuan Casino & Resort 10 out of 10

For being on a small reservation approx. 1 square mile I think Sycuan is Awesome...To build an empire which has successfully been opened for 20 years, Sycuan is tops!!

Sycuan Casino & Resort 7 out of 10

The Sycuan is very close to the city on a good road so it gets lots of traffic. I followed the map and directions from their web site, but it seamed to go on forever. When I got there around 6:00 Pm, there were many people and parking was a hassle. Sycuan Casino has a wide selection of slots machines; most of the tables were very high. Finding the Club took some effort and also locating the restrooms was a walk. People were friendly enough.

Sycuan Casino & Resort 6 out of 10

Casino is fair and they need to rebuild it. They need to build a parking garage. Nextel phones do not work in the casino very well.

Employees are nice and helpful.

Table Mountain Casino 7 out of 10

Win more at this casino than any in Reno.  Last time here won 1100 on dollar slots and 300 on quarter slots.  Usually watch others win pretty good too on the dollar machines.  Nice atmopshere.  Usually crowded on Saturdays but other days easy to get machines. They offer complimentary drinks, coffee/soda, easy to get.  Enjoyable casino to play and win.

Table Mountain Casino 8 out of 10

Beside a nice atmosphere, the food was good. Eagles Landing Restaurant at Table Mountain was very good and had very reasonable prices. The Ruben sandwich with coleslaw was excellent and is highly recommended. Also, thank you Jenny for nice service. I plan to go back to Table Mountain if only to try the food again.

Table Mountain Casino 8 out of 10

The Table Mountain casino’s parking structure made it easy to park and play! The casino is on Friant Road like their web site shows.  More signs along the way would be nice as well as a full size map. The club was easy to find and there was no wait. There were plenty of .05 and .25 machines. They had some .05 video poker machines. The Mountain feast buffet looked good. The restrooms were very nice and were clean. I plan to go back to the Table Mountain Casino.

Table Mountain Casino 2 out of 10

Since the casino has expanded they seem to be catering to the slot players and the bingo games have been shortened to the point where all the games take only 5 or 6 numbers, resulting in mostly multiple winner games. The slots are so tight since Chuckchansi Gold opened you can barely get playback on them let alone a win.I have been playing bingo there since the first night they oopened, but will find other places to go from now on.

The Palace 7 out of 10

Upstairs the place is bigger than I thought. I missed some of it on my first visit. They also had several hotdog carts. I cashed out $60 from a machine and the counting machine showed $61. I went back and checked the slot machine and it indicated a payout of 60. So there is a “problem.”

The quail plume buffet at The Palace casino is only so-so. On Saturday, it was 9.99 for a lunch which was ok, but many casinos have better buffets.

Players club card reading test of 14 slot machines: 5 the first time; 7 required 2 tries; 1 required 3 tries; and 1 did not read after 4 tries.

The Palace 5 out of 10

First time being there. No sign to let you know about free valet parking until parked and walking in. Lots of penny machines (my favorite).

The Palace 7 out of 10

Casino was very clean and the dealers pleasant.  Biggest problem was that their where not many blackjack tables, and place was very crowded.  People standing two and three deep.

The Palace 7 out of 10

The Palace casino is a little hard to find if you have not been there, particularly if you come on California 41. Parking close can be a problem. Club was easy to find and friendly. Slots appear to be tight. In our tests out of 4 tries, we did not have one winner. They did have free sodas and coffee. In several machines the player’s card did not work. The restrooms were small, but clean. The restaurant looked nice and the casino was well laid out.

Thunder Valley Station Casino 1 out of 10

Thunder valley is a big joke another cache creek tight machines rude staff some of the worst gambling i have occured .Save your money save your time thunder valley is a waste of time

Thunder Valley Station Casino 1 out of 10

Once was enough. If you want to donate  your money give it to the Red Cross......The machines are so tight there you won't get a dime back while they are laughing all the way to the bank. I guess thats one way of getting back at the white man for taking their land!!! I won't be back.......Try River Rock or Feather Falls at least they pay off $$$$$$$ and you'll have some fun !!!!!!

Thunder Valley Station Casino 7 out of 10

I've been going to Cache Creek for at least 7 years. However, since the new casino opened, the tech service is practically non-existent as well as their beverage service to players. Employees never look happy. The machines rarely pay, or you have to wait for a machine.  Too bad, it was close and I always had a good time.

Thunder Valley Station Casino 5 out of 10

I lost big time.  I was sorry to see they didn't have the pennies games which allow you to play more lines.  (I like those) They can still eat your money, but it seems like it can last a little longer.  I saw a few big winners on dollar machines.  I won't go back altho it was clean and had the newer electronic games, it just seemed really tight.

Thunder Valley Station Casino 7 out of 10

DONT GO TO Thunder Valley it is crap.  They dont even give you a little taste of winning to keep you playing.  They just snatch your money and run away laughing. You wont even get a free drink  out of it unless you sit there and plunk in 100 bucks while you wait 30 minutes for the drink lady to come back. Maybe it takes them so long to bring you a drink because their shorts are so far up their butt they cant move very fast.  Either way save you time, money and gas and stay home or go to reno

Thunder Valley Station Casino 7 out of 10

Thunder Valley is crap.. You have to drive to the middle of nowhere to find swarms of people trying to find a place to place just to loose all your money.  They have their money on lock down and you wont get a dime of it.  You cant get a drink to save your sole and it smells like a smokers lounge.  Save you money and your time.. SAY home or go to Reno.

Thunder Valley Station Casino 10 out of 10

i love thundervalley casino. The Falls Bar is the place to be. Watching the bartenders "flaring" is cool. The girls that work there are awsome looking. recomened to go there!!!

Thunder Valley Station Casino 7 out of 10

If you are a black jack player, DON'T PLAY HERE. They ONLY offer continious shuffle decks. They would get no bussiness if they were in Reno or Vegas with those decks. They get away with it because they can. I love going there because it is really nice. but no more black jack until they get rid of those decks. Players have terrible odds against those things. So if you go there to play black jack let them know that you will play at Cache Creek next time if they don't get rid of those decks.

Thunder Valley Station Casino 9 out of 10

I was impressed! Its in the middle of no where and has the feel of Vegas!

Thunder Valley Station Casino 7 out of 10

i prefer the thunder casino, i think it is in lincoln, i usually take my girl friend and just watch her because she seems always or at least amost always to win.  when she wins she passes me money, i like that.

Thunder Valley Station Casino 2 out of 10

too many people couldn't find the slot I wanted to play because of too many people also had problems finding parking! Will never go back!!

Thunder Valley Station Casino 8 out of 10

Thunder Valley Casino is big and looks very nice inside. We visited on Monday and there were plenty of people. It is near highway 65 and better signs would help a first time visitor to find it.  The Rewards club was across the casino from the east entrance. I got $5 in free play for joining the club, it does require pressing some buttons and remembering the pin you chose. The cashiers were fast and friendly.  The machines are laid out with plenty of space.  The payout was about even. The restrooms were very nice and clean.

We had the breakfast at Feast around the World Buffet. The food was good and the service was good.

Thunder Valley Station Casino 9 out of 10

It's location is currently rural, and there needs to be larger directional signs, but if you follow the other cars, you should find it o.k.

There is alot of Free parking, and valet as well. The Music is playing IN the parking lot! So you get "hyped up" while dancing your way to the entrance! The entry is well lit and elegant as is the interior design. Plush carpets and beautiful clean restrooms.

Two bars, Falls Bar & Thunder bar. Expect to pay normal "cocktail prices". Cocktail waitresses are friendly and scantily dressed. Players club is easy to join, usually offers promotions and card is good at other Station Casino's.

Lot's of Slots, $1.00, .25, .05. The nickels are mostly Video style, (which I don't care for, so it was quarters for me!)

Lot's of Tables, private Asian gaming area as well as "High rollers" areas. Jan 2004, someone hit the Progressive Jackpot on "Wheel of Fortune" for 5.1 Million! I wasn't as lucky, the three times I've been I made "donations", but I did see some Lucky winners.

The Restaurants are great, Austin's Steakhouse, Fatburger, Thunder Cafe, Starbucks Coffee, Panda Express & Shanghai Fat's. The Buffet is called "Feat around the World". Bring your wallet or purse loaded, because everything is a bit "pricey" including the elegant Gift Shop!

I think the nearest Hotel/Motel is in Roseville, about a 15 min. drive away. Overall, I really like Thunder Valley, It has the "look" and "Feel" of Las Vegas...just not the "cheap" bargains you find there!

Thunder Valley Station Casino 5 out of 10

its big and there are lots of tables, but at $25 minimums for black and YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR OWN DRINKS.. i will never return, it is Vegas for me

Trump 29 Casino 7 out of 10

I have been to several Indian casinos in calif and Trump was the closest to a Las Vegas style casino. There are plenty of new machines with all denominations. Table are ok, for BJ single deck only pays 6/4 several double deck games and a lot of shoes. Three card poker games and bacarratt. Lots of penny slots. If you can stand the people there, doing there voo doo across the slot screens its ok. What I mean by voo doo, I have seen tapping (some slapping)on the screens, kissing the machines, and praying before the slots. Over all I like Trump but nothing takes place of VEGAS

Not more than one split, Dealers HUSTLING

for tips, so with cocktail girls. Pit Boss insulting, cocky to losing

customers. Slot machines payouts once in a blue moon. Wish they have EXACTLY

same BJ rules as in Las Vegas, but when?

Trump 29 Casino 8 out of 10

Trump 29 is easy to find when you are on 86.

Plenty of Blackjack tables for regular players. $5 for double decks was great! I played for two shuffles, Started with$100, left with $132. It is hard work! I also would like to thank the dealer, Fred.

I also played some slots $30.50 left with $27.00. In two out of four machines, I could not get the Gold Chairman’s Club to work. It was quick to join the club.

Plenty of the machines had coins.

I had vegetable spring roll at the food court. It was Ok. For those who like Mac Donald’s, they had one.

Nitpicking:  The coin buckets where somewhat dirty. The restrooms need more frequent cleaning.

I plan to go back.

Twin Pine Casino 3 out of 10

I've only been here once, and that was enough.  The casino was small and not many new machines.  When you win on the slots it takes forever for someone to come and pay you.  They need 3 people/employees on each payout.  I went during the week and all the tables were closed.  Not very clean either.

Twin Pine Casino 3 out of 10

I play there alot because of the location and i like the slots they have. The workers are for the most part rude and just stand around, if they like the way you look they will be nice, if you complain they get an attitude real quick. chris and doug at night are prime examples of rude. Also they don't come around enough to ask if you'd like a drink. Perhaps the rude employees need to seek jobs elsewhere.

Twin Pine Casino 6 out of 10

Twin Pine Casino, located just south of Middletown on highway 29.  Twin Pine Casino is developing its players club which was at the back.  They do not yet have the cards, only a mailing list.  Twin Pine casino has all coin slot machines. I found I washed my hands a few times. Many California casinos players have gotten used to the tickets and coins payouts can confuse us at first.

The staff was all friendly.  My slot machine test – I lost 3 out of 3 and also did not win at blackjack. There was no wait to cash out and the cashier was friendly. One of the machines (3 reels), the hopper ran out of money; it took about three minutes to get the money. Twin Pine does have complementary beverages.

Twin Pine Casino 4 out of 10

very disappointed, the casino is a real shame compared to what it could have been.   What was a real promising place looks dilapidated and dirty.  Seems decades behind the other nearest casinos.

Wasted drive, won't be going back

Valley View Casino 9 out of 10

Valley View Casino is just the right size. Valley View is big enough to have all the machines, yet small enough to see everything. The free valet parking is quick and easy. There was space at the wheel of fortune slot machines on a Friday afternoon. The food at the buffet is excellent and the service is good. We enjoyed the drive through the hills to the casino, had fun, and we will visit the Valley view casino again.

Valley View Casino 9 out of 10

Visited valley view casino on a Saturday. (8/7/04)  The parking lot near the casino was full so I had to park up on the hill overlooking the casino. There are shuttles running every 10-15 minutes so I did not have to wait long to get a ride to the front entrance. The Casino looked clean and well maintained and has a section for non-smoking slot playing.  The restroom (men’s) was also clean and well maintained. The service was nice and friendly. But what really impressed me was the Prime Rib and Seafood buffet. Very reasonably priced (I was given the $2 discount even thought I didn’t have a players card). The variety was good and service was friendly and excellent. I mainly stick to Blackjack but there were only $10 and $25 tables and I only had a $100 on me .So I decided to play the $0.25 slots. Good thing I did, I ended up winning $400 dollars for a $60 investment. Truly the looses slots in San Diego.

Valley View Casino 8 out of 10

Valley View is a mid-size casino in the hills that I recommend. It is not too far from I15, but it does take 20 minutes to get there. A few more signs along the way would help. The VIP players club is most generous. For signing up I received $10 is free slot play. It also gives discount at the very nice buffet. There was room at the $5 table where I won $50. The older casino building has become the non-smoking room. Valley View casino has a good selection of slot machines for its size and with the free play I did ok. The also have free soft drinks and coffee. The cashiers and the rest of the staff were friendly. There was plenty of parking during the mid-day. They also had free valet parking and several remote lots with a shuttle for busier times. I plan to go back. Friendly and $10 are hard to beat.

Viejas Casino 8 out of 10

Viegas Casino is worth a visit. It is next to the freeway, but the exit is a mile a way. Besides the casino with nice restaurants, they have an outlet mall across the street. It is a large casino with plenty of slot machines and higher limit tables. I had the blue-plate special at the Sunrise Diner, which was very good and very well priced. Very nice restrooms. Overall, it is one of the best Casinos in California.

Viejas Casino 7 out of 10

I applied for the Viejas VIP rewards on-line and a few days later the card was in the mail. Already a good start, next week I hope visit the casino.

Viejas Casino 8 out of 10

Great casino. The Grove Steak House is the best in the East County. Two words, PARKING GARAGE.

Viejas Casino 8 out of 10

Beautiful casino on the indoors and out. Plenty of parking. Great shopping for both the young and old. Bingo room is a little wierd because the smokers sit on the bottom level and non-smokers sit on the top level - where do they think smoke travels? So it has some layout issues. But overall a nice casino.

Win-River Casino 7 out of 10

I won $200!

Win-River Casino 8 out of 10

Win-River Casino is a few miles off I5 where highway 273 is parallel to Interstate 5.  A few more signs on highway 273 would have been reassuring to the first time visitor, and I was glad to see the casino from the Highway. The Win River Casino players club is near the entrance. For joining, there was a spin on their $100 or nothing slot machine. They put in the dollar and I push the button. The casino and restaurant staff were friendly. The Win River casino may need to start thinking about a parking structure.

I was there for the T-Bone Tuesdays which provides an one-pound choice T-bone steak with Baked Potato, Green Salad, and Fresh Bread. It was a good steak! I plan to go back when I am in the area.

An annual printed version is planned starting in 2005. The distribution will depend on the vendor selected and the anticipated demand.
